I heart this so much
I heart this so much
There isn’t much to choose from for 1978, except it’s the year the classic SAAB 900 was introduced, so I’m going with the ‘78 900 Turbo with Inca Aztec wheels!
There is exactly one…
It shouldn’t surprise anyone that a Ram’s V8 lasted 300k.., they’re actually designed to last 250-300k and frequently do. The wrench in the works so to speak, is usually the body rotting away or the transmission grenading itself. Good friend of mine drive his ‘04 Ram 1500 for 314K until it died 2 years ago due to the…
Came for the boilerplate Teslastan complaint that had no substance behind it (eerily the same as a Trump supporter), did not leave disappointed
I feel like the Titan could be a mainstream contender if they just marketed it better. It’s got the power, capability and refinement. As to the Tundra, I have no idea why anyone buys them: wimpy tow rating, absolutely awful fuel mileage (Ram with same displacement gets nearly 19 mpg city, while the Tundra only manages…
the ton rating refers to the ballpark load carrying capacity of the rear axle, not the truck’s weight 😉
Sports car like acceleration? Seems like you need to drive a Ram 1500 with the 5.7… my ‘20 hits 60 in 6.1 seconds which is pretty damned quick for any car. Also, 12K towing capacity and rear coil springs vs that lovely 1880’s leaf spring technology… The Chevy is also good if you enjoy a wallowing steering feel, mushy…
BMW has it in the X7
You literally cannot fart without hitting a first gen XC90 up here in Alaska… they are EVERYWHERE
I’m sitting here wondering how Alaska didn’t make the cut… The Parks Highway from Wasilla up to Fairbanks and the Glenn from Palmer to Glennallen are awful and filled with rolling frost heaves from melting and freezing permafrost…. added to the fact lots of people roll on studded tires in the winter which grinds…
As the owner of a factory screw-up (also an FCA product), I can definitely say they can be cool. My 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie has the black leather interior, but instead of the black headliner and pillar trim, it got the beige interior pieces. It actually looks really good and brightens the interior.
I’m my experiences here in Anchorage, AK, the worst, by far is the Audi dealership. There is not even the slightest faking of care for the customer, you are merely passing their bottom line. Also terrible here are the Mercedes dealer (both sales and service) and the Ford dealer (sales is slimy, service is ok). The…
So for years, Ford has included fleet sales of heavier duty trucks and vans in their sales numbers to seem like they’re on top. Ram started doing the same thing last year and low and behold their numbers are higher than Ford’s. No one cares about GM cause they’re actually mechanically and aesthetically 3rd rate 😆
Nice, honest example of the last car designed by Jan Wilsgaard... yes please! $4K for a nice clean 850 is a decent price
What is a dollaya?
I think I’ll be just fine with my windows rolled down up here in Alaska...
Another great VW badge that’s up there with the Ghia badge is that for the Automatic Stick Shift, an example of which I once owned with this fantastic badge:
Hey, it could be worse... least the Prinz was a 4-stroke
So how would you classify Alaska man? As usual were left out up here... seems the rest of the country always forgets about its largest state! Which, I might add, has the most eclectic collection of cars from all over the world of anyplace I’ve lived in the Lower 48, from NH to AL to TX to Cali. Where else can you find…
