Pretty sure it was an American LeMans series race, prolly mid spring 2002...I was volunteering on security detail at the pits. When I heard and saw it running, I had to visit the crew on the paddock after it ran its race and sure enough it was an R390.

Way back in 2002 I had the honour to witness an R390 being driven in anger at Laguna Seca in an actual race. God that car was amazing...you could hear the blow-off valves down in the pits when the car was cresting the hill before entering the Corkscrew... That’s a good distance away if you’ve no frame of reference or b

Hah hah hah! So you feel the pain of frequent breakdowns (unless you own a Benz)?

Also dangerous. There is no consistency between manufacturers for menu layouts causing you to frequently take your eyes off the road. The best system with a touch screen I've found so far is Ford's Sync 3 which my '16 F150 has. The only other thing that's consistent is if you use Android Auto or Apple CarPlay... But

All cars basically resemble all the other cars of their same era. His point is moot.

Essentially all they did was to electrify a Moskvich (Москвич) 427 wagon and make it ugly...

Totally on board Torch. I’d much rather something interesting as was on offer from any other manufacturer, especially Nash, Packard (‘57 was the last year for them, and their Straight 8 was awesome) or even Hudson...a company that was able to keep up with the V8 competition by...wait for it, innovation and engineering

Volvo should embrace their heritage and bring back some form of RWD... Until then, I'm ok with this development from Polestar

A Conti is a tyre

This is also a Connie:

And another reason I predict that Tesla will either be bought out or out of business in less than 10 years. It’s not because of the products, which are awesome, it’s because of the idiot at the top who is a genius, but knows jack about running a car company.

One must never forget the Borrego, it was legitimately badass, especially with the optional 337 4.6 liter V8 that could tow 7500lbs... Oh, and it can off-road too

So, the Vera Cruz wasn’t a bad SUV at all and Hyundai aimed it squarely at the Lexus RX. Notable in that it was the first time Hyundai set its sights on a luxury brand. It actually won some awards and comparisons over the Lexus as well...I even think Car&Driver preferred it as well.

It’s my opinion that Harley would never have been in this position had they not killed off Buell in 2009. They had their modern brand that was on even, if not superior terms to most of Ducati’s lineup... Buells were a world beater, and Harley squandered it and shut a profitable division down.

Pronounced "blyad" and spelled блядь. Or my personal favorite Russian insult: блин (bleen), which means pancake

“suka” or сука as it’s spelled in Russian simply means “bitch”

Anyone else notice that this beautifully combines the first and last designs of Jan Wilsgaard, the Amazon and 850?

I’d argue that it wasn’t Auto Union DNA that was incorporated, but rather NSU. If you remember your VW history, shortly after VW bought out NSU through Audi in 1969, the first water-cooled VW appeared: the K70...a car that was to be the successor to the Ro80.

I have to agree on the engineering of the Nano... Absolutely astounding. Saw an interview with one of the chief engineers one and he was talking about how they looked at things like the door locks...which have only 6 moving parts and of course 3 lugs per wheel and a whole host of other cost saving measures without

If you ever drove an H2 on an off-road course, you'd change your tune... Absolutely amazing AWD system.
