BMW lost the script exactly in 2007 with the end of the E39 and E53... Possibly the last good cars they built...

Ahh the venerable MkII Jetta... Back when VW was still corporately honest and didn’t build shite. MkIIs were built to last as were the MkI and III. If only VW could recapture what used to make them great and not generic clone-mobiles

To be fair, Turkey is not a friend of Russia...Erdogan would like to be as he is an idiot. Also, Turkey has been a part of the F35 program since the beginning and produces some key electronic systems on it... So no, there was no "selling" of the F35 to Turkey

Renault Avantime!!! The greatest convertible/minivan/grand tourer ever made!!!

Yeah, ummm...I guess you haven’t seen the inside of or driven anything from Ford, Dodge or GM for the last 20 years...

I proudly drive a full-sized pickup every day...a 2016 F150 Lariat Sport w/ 5.0...and your opinion of large trucks is skewed. Come up here to Alaska for a couple days and you’ll see that not only are large trucks necessary for daily life, 1/2 ton trucks like my F150 are actually on the small size as there are many 3/4

That’s cause the lights are a giant pain in the ass to replace. It’s a series of 6 clear Christmas mini light bulbs and you have to take that whole piece off to replace them, and it ain’t easy

Or they could do registration every two years... That’s what they do here in Alaska and our registration fees are way lower (also the AK DMV is oddly efficient and doesn’t suck)

Slap a 25% import tariff on the Chiron, it’s a threat to US national security!!!

A good friend of mine found this rare Pininfarina Design book while scouring yard sales in Monterey, CA for $2. You’ll notice it’s actually signed by Sergio Pininfarina. Details the factory and most of the cars he designed. It’s in Italian but has the insert with English translations.

Also the ASW radar under the belly and thermal imager just aft of the noise

That’s actually a Tu-142, the naval variant of the Tu-95... You will know this by the glass nose.

What Harley needs to do is have a sport brand... Oh wait, they had that already and killed it...

Those qualities perfectly describe all BMW products since 2006

EPA numbers are never accurate anyways. My 2016 F150 4x4 w/ V8 and tow package regularly hits 19mpg in city driving when it’s rated at like 16 and will get almost 25 highway and it’s rated at 22.

The Smart ED is the flaming bag of dog poo on the front porch of the auto industry

The Smart ED was a POS when it came out. Pitiful 68 mile range, top speed 75 (which took over 20 seconds to reach), Smart rated its 0-37mph time (notice they didn’t use the world benchmark of 0-60) at 6.5 seconds (slower than a vintage VW Beetle). Maybe the new generation is a vast improvement, but the original was a

So, the only car Jay Leno has said was unsafe due to lack of power in the highway saying it couldn’t reach highway speeds in a safe amount of time and has a pitiful range is fun? I guess I need to rethink my opinion of fun (thinks of 385hp V8 in F150 4x4 parked in garage)

I’ve a coworker who swears by 1st gen Avalons. His wife has been in two accidents where the car has saved her life up here in Alaskan highways. She’s on her third now (one of these was a head on at 60mph on the highway to Homer when the oncoming driver lost control). Besides, the 1st gen was one of the last hand-built

How do I find one of these wonderful machines?
