Unlike the Brabus Smart and Aston Cygnet, the CSX-VNT had this little thing called actual performance behind it (and didn’t look stupid doing it IMO). ‘Twas also the last car Shelby built for Chrysler to finish out his contract.

Not sure how you could call the Shelby CSX-VNT version of the P-Body a meh car... With 175 hp, groundbreaking Fiberride wheels, variable geometry vanes on the turbo, Getrag manual and the ability to hit 156 mph as tested by Car & Driver... But I guess that’s just me
I think I lost several IQ points after reading the President said this...
Wankers
Hopefully it’s better than the exhaust they make for the current F150 with the 5.0... It sounds exactly like a coffee can filled with nails, absolutely terrible. The factory exhaust has it beat by a long shot
I’m surprised you didn’t get onto headrests Torch. For some reason, headrests are always removed for filming, even when the actors’ heads or faces wouldn’t be obscured by leaving them in place. Sitcoms are notorious for this. We know the headrest is supposed to be there, why are you removing it?!?
In fact it does. The 3-pointed star was originally the Daimler logo, whilst the wreath around the circumference was the K. Benz Co. logo. The points signifying air, sea and land were a reference to Daimler building aero, marine and land-based powerplants and vehicles.
Torch, how can you mention Daihatsu in the US market and not say anything about the Rocky?!? It was actually a competent off-roader and stout as hell.
While I don’t hate the Prius as a rule, the 2nd gen car was terrible to drive. It’s handling is subpar and it’s price new was rediculous. For less money at the time, you could have purchased a pre-dieselgate VW that got better mileage with less pollution (as the battery manufacturing at the time was not exactly bueno…
I find most of the drivability issues talked about here are easily solved with some IPD parts...
Mayhap only certain dealers that meet certain qualifications should be allowed to sell them, not unlike certain BMW dealers selling MINIs in the beginning
And the government called Preston Tucker a criminal...
Anything BMW will break before the end of the race anyways so why bother?
Unless it was his pigeon...
This man was alive when electrics were almost as numerous as gasoline vehicles... Think about that.
I’ll believe it’s going into production when I see one at a dealer... VW has been promising this since the late 90s and never delivering on it...
I’d say $48K is a decent price for a period turbo modified DMC. Prices for the ultra rare factory turbo cars are about 50% higher than this. And it’s still a bargain compared to a new DeLorean’s price for similar horsepower
I think I prefer the grille on my ‘16 Lariat Sport to this new mesh grille, it looks meaner IMHO.
Mine’s got the 3.31 rear end. As to EPA mileage ratings, they’re not exactly accurate
Interesting the new 5.0 with the 10 speed only reaches 24 mpg when my 2016 F150 with the 385-horse 6-speed can reach 25 mpg on the highway at 65-70 mph. Still, 5.0 is best engine. God’s music plays at 4500 rpm and higher
