Least this one didn’t end up on its side... In the woods... In the dark... And immortalized forever in a Blipshift t-shirt...yet.

Sadness...right outside the burned building was a Jaguar D-Type and a Chrysler Imperial...
So the generation of Corvette that put the car on the map of serious performance and competition equal to contemporary European sports cars is the worst generation? And the generation from which Ferrari licensed suspension technology? Hmm...
Leave the styling and suspension to BMW and hopefully Toyota is in charge of the drivetrain and all electronics/peripherals so it actually lasts beyond the warranty period.
I’m glad that I have two things on my side now: I’m nearly 40 and I have a bit of money. I was treated a similar way by a VW dealership when I was 24 because I expressed interest in owning a Phaeton one day.
I like these and they’re definitely rare, but unless this guy has the paperwork to back up the provenance, CP all day... More realistic would be $5K. Prove the origin, and the ask might be worth it.
I too have always loved the Phaeton. I think a “reliable” V8 model might be in my collection one day... It will never be a daily driver for obvious reasons.
I got to spend a week with a G6 GT sedan circa 2008 and that car left such an impression on me that I vowed to have one in my collection one day. Fantastic looks, precise handling and reasonably quick. I’m still impressed at the G6' build quality to this day, as I feel it’s uncharacteristically solid for a GM product.
Porsche didn’t just pay a settlement to Tatra, Ferdinand Porsche is actually quoted as “having looked over Hans Ledwinka’s shoulder from time to time”
My best friend in high school had an ‘86 New Yorker he inherited from his grandma (this is circa 1994). That damn car was hilarious when it talked. It was especially amusing to hoon at high speed around corners and here it say “Washer Fluid is Low”.
Turbo lag is best lag...
I love these but it’s incorrect to call the Viggen the last true SAAB (coming from a SAAB guy), when you say yourself in the article it was Opel based, ergo, not a true SAAB. We all know the last true SAAB was the Classic 900, and of course the greatest versions of that was the SPG and of course the Last Edition…
I actually think it looks pretty good for something from a command economy. Not on par with Lada or Tatra designs for sure...but definitely not bad. I love the air intakes...much better execution than the Zaporozhets ZAZ-968A
I will just plop this right here: the 1905 Darracq 200...land-speed record car:
How’s that Haldex unit treating you?
How dare you rip on the IH CXT! Turn in your Jalop card right now!
You don’t drive many real SUVs do you? I have driven an H2 on an off-road course and can tell you it’s AWD system is amazing, especially up 30° canted grades. Real, non car-based SUVs feature something we like to call a ladder frame as unibodies are generally not strong enough for the duty (exception being XJ…
The interior is compact sized though...
I want him to move to Anchorage so he can drive on our lovely ice-covered winter roads with bald, non-studded tires and tell us it’s the car’s fault he ended up in a snow bank
I once got into an argument with a guy at Budget. I had reserved a full sized and the reservation went so far to say Chevy Malibu or similar. They tried giving me a Dodge Avenger. A car that was in the compact segment. I argued this point from the auto industry standard and he ended up giving in.
