As I recall, there have been a few paramedic overdoses on fentanyl, through skin contact and breathing. To the extent that a few paramedics have overdosed or shown signs of having ingested the drug; and others are now wary of treating overdoses. A quick search on the Internet shows links such as this one.

Fentalyl can be absorbed through the skin. If they weren’t wearing gloves and they touched it while responsing, they could have been affected. 

My co-workers clean up drug labs as part of their duties, so they’ve been getting training. Pure fentanyl has fatal dose the size of 2 grains of salt, and it can be inhaled as dust or absorbed through the skin. If they were grinding pills - maybe a lot of them, or high dosage/concentrated form? The cops may have been…

When a $9.5 million dollar settlement is awarded for wrongful behavior, this is to close any further investigation  that can tarnish a person’s career. This is more than hush money since its out in the open. Non disclosure agreements tends to mask the perpetrator from notoriety while the claimant goes away quietly…

Why publicly defend the guy caught on camera harassing someone? What do you have to gain besides putting yourself out there as a terrible person? It’s not like they can convince us it didn’t happen!

I don’t understand why people do this. Who cares if he wasn’t an abusive asshole towards you? He obviously was towards another person or else the company wouldn’t have paid her $9.5 million. Just because he was nice to you doesn’t mean he’s a good person. 

None of these people (Perrette, Alexander, Weatherly) is currently on NCIS, though. And neither woman is on Weatherly’s current show Bull.

So, damage control to try and prevent NCIS from getting cancelled due to Weathery’s crimes. Got it.
