He has had about two years to “be persuaded.” If he can’t realize that he has to address his racial blind spot, in this political reality, then he either doesn’t care to or hasn’t been paying attention.

Different worldview or no, he continues to illustrate that he isn’t fucking listening when it comes to race relations. And he has been told, multiple times, how he can do exactly that.
While you have a point that results matter more than optics, you have to get to a point where those results can be achieved and be able to effectively communicate to what end. If Bernie thinks of brown/black people as a statistic instead of as human beings, he’s a better political strategist than an actual politician.

The issue, as I understand it, is this: his delivery is less “What are your concerns?” and more “Look, yeah yeah, I hear ya, just shut up so I can get back to telling you what you should find important.”
Yep, when he says “working class” he means the white section of it.
So at what point will white people look at these various slip-ups and gaffes and excuses about he “misspoke” and “what he really meant was” and all the other stuff surrounding Bernie and say “hey, maybe he has an issue speaking about race”.
Dem losses during the Obama tenure are a fact, but Sanders is missing the boat on why those losses occurred. White resentment shot through the roof following Obama’s election and while people focused on the national Tea Party candidates, the biggest disruption was in State government.

He’s a better man than I was at his age. Hope he keeps growing up good.

This young man is following Justin’s lead and your instructions
I was so happy to see he had 1.2M likes when I watched his video this afternoon. And it’s up to 3 million? I want to drive out to that dreadful place and give this young man a hug.
That’s why we need to e-wrap our arms around this young man and lift him up.
Courage is contagious and needs someone as brave as this kid to be this first.
So the future is going to be 1 person out of 20 taking a stand while the other 19 are complacent to let things continue as they are?
I live in NC and blanked on where Goldsboro is. It’s a military town with an air force base. The poor boy is surrounded by gun humpers.
