bloodborne feels sort of old school platformer to me. between lanterns are like Mario levels, you go through a couple times, screw up somewhere because you're rushing, try again, get it down pat, finish it. of course the bosses have you memorizing the heck out of that level. don't rush or you'll just die more.

i particularly enjoy your summation of the Nolan films. i don't bother arguing it anymore, but they all feel over-stuffed, overly serious, and often times boring - highlighted only by some brilliant character moments (batman first appearing in shipping yard, joker stabbing guy in eye with pencil)
