I don't understand why anyone would defend conforming to arbitrary and shallow beauty standards, especially if they promote eating disorders, sexism, ageism, racism, etc.
My point: Sarah Silverman is a woman who appreciated Joan Rivers. Plus I think it's hard to criticize Rivers for making jokes about women when many comedians who are women loved her. And as I asked below, are women not supposed to make jokes about other people? Including women?
