Nobody is actually making the argument you accuse them of making.

Actually, there are plenty of circumstances where the state (or municipality) is liable for damage caused by pot holes.

You clearly do not live in California. They are everywhere.

This whole psychosis about “exceptional service” needs to be killed with fire. And that means getting rid of the people who create and enforce these kinds of rating systems / policies within customer service organizations. Those people are utterly and irredeemably evil.

That’s why I rarely fill out any customer service ratings. Because the employees likely get dinged if they get anything less than 5 (because every single experience is supposed to be exceptional or some bullshit) but doing a competent job is not the same as exceptional. Fully satisfactory should not be a punishable

I’ve heard that if you give an Uber driver a 3-star rating that you’re basically giving them a 1-star rating. If they drop below like a 4-star average rating then they can be fired. Doesn’t really make a whole lot of sense. That’s like failing a student if they have less than a B.

You’re essentially turning your engine into an air compressor.

Uh... it’s still turning momentum into heat. Thermodynamics and what not.

Not so fast, did you see those stretched tires?

Upper middle class? Have you priced Bay Area real estate lately?

That’s kinda like suing themselves, given that the HOA is small. Also, fuck HOAs.

Oh, if only you’d take your username seriously.

Fuck you

As the owner of a Volvo wagon and a Volvo sedan, driving over the same roads in the same conditions, my wagon needs the wiper, and my sedan doesn’t. I’ve never run into a situation where I’ve not been able to see out of my rear glass in the sedan, even in a blizzard, due to dirt/dust/debris/water droplet presence.

I have also wondered this and being the owner of a number of hatch backs I believe I have your answer. It isn’t the airflow over the top of the car that is the problem. Take note of how dirty the back of hatch backs and SUV’s get from normal or rainy driving. It is the airflow under the car and the proximity of the

“And if you get into your vehicle parked on the side of the road, turn it on, and then get rear ended?”

Tech, seriously?

If the phone is in a dash mount, you’re not holding that in your hand either.

Why not? How is that different than me changing the station on my touch screen radio or scrolling the map on my touch screen navigation?

It drives me nuts that every time I rent a car all they have is SUV’s.
