Oh really?

Gentex HGU-55P helmet. You can buy it online.

Basic traction control system (TCS) does as you say, generally only cutting power, but sometimes triggering brakes, based on differential input from ABS wheel speed sensors. You're not going to drift with TCS on, but it is pretty easily to get a car sideways without triggering the TCS.

Thanks for the clarification; I thought it was 'direct drive', with the final drive ratio set by the diff and no separate gearbox (there are EV's like this that lack a true transmission). So, although very simple compared to today's Dual-clutch multi-speed wonders, yup... that would be a transmission!

From wikipedia:

FYI single speed = direct drive = No transmission

"Try not to like the idea of this as your daily driver (with a stick), and you shall fail."

No, but that generation's S4 got a V8

"Here's everything you need to work safely underneath your car"

"But I did want a bit more character. The boxer burble I had dreamed of was nowhere to be found."

The 911 turbo is amazingly comfortable and civilized for it's performance... but to the non-enthusiast, it's looks like 'just another Porsche'. Any McLaren gets noticed immediately as something special; IMHO the only recent Porches that do this are the Carrera GT and 918. (OK, maybe a GT*)

ditto... came here to say that!

I got the pleasure of driving one on the track last week at the Porsche World Roadshow, I love the retro roll-bar look, but think a simple removable panel with RWD as a special edition (like the Boxster Spyder) would have been so much cooler. I also much preferred the Boxster/Cayman GTS; these are not 'entry level'

I know the Z doesn't get a lot of love here, but this deserves to be on the list for a couple reasons. It was the color of the show car that convinced Nissan to bring the Z back, which is one of the best selling sports cars of the last decade. It's also this color which really kick-starting a lot of other car makers

I saw a FR-S recently that could take the cake as far a being done wrong... bone stock except for a fart can muffler. As he pulls away, it's obvious from the obnoxious exhaust noise, it's an auto. Ugh... why did you even buy that car?!?

Nice! I put the same stripes on my wife's 135i M-sport. BMW already put a bunch of M-badges on the car (one on the steering wheel, one on the gear shift, one on the dead-pedal, one on each door sill, one on each wheel...), so I don't think the M stripes are out of place at all. I would never put one in front of the

I understand a free-market, but this: "Some consumers claim that they were told the final cost of the transportation service the company provided (through Uber Technologies' phone app, the driver, and the consumer's receipt), only to be subsequently charged a substantially larger amount. " is bait and switch!

Those are usually posted at intersections with poor visibility; it makes complete sense to not allow a right turn on red when you can't see far enough into oncoming traffic to determine if it's safe. There are several intersections near me that should have those posted, as dumbasses routinely pull out onto a road with

FYI, reasonable doubt only applies to a criminal case. In a civil case, its a preponderance of the evidence. However, your point is still valid... the presence of THC shifts the balance of the evidence towards Stewarts's favor.
