When the price of high energy density batteries got low enough that, for under $40,000 or so, you could power an adequate car with them, everybody who could do arithmetic could see the potential. But no existing car company which had billions upon billions of dollars invested in internal combustion engines was ever

Aside from rapists themselves, one doesn’t meet too many people who are actively pro-rape. I presume Rashad isn’t arguing that Cosby didn’t rape all those women, and that she doesn’t expect any of us to believe that for even an instant.  After all, he confessed.

I’m going to go against the trend (ND 2-to-1) and give this a “Nice Price” vote. If you drive one of these you know no one else has one. Even car nuts will probably say “What is that thing?” until it passes and they read the name off the trunk lid. At the same price as a new Camry it makes ordinary exotics seem common

That’s a Eaton supercharger. I never heard of TVS motorcycles, but apparently they are huge in India where lots of people ride bikes. Also I see they bought out Norton motorcycles, which was going bankrupt. I remember Norton Commandos from the ‘60s and ‘70s, they were pretty enviable bikes. I hope TVS keeps the Norton

You didn’t mention the Number One innovation of Tesla, which was the “supercharger” network. No wide-spread public charger network means no mass market for electric cars. It’s so central to the success of EVs that I can almost - but not quite - forgive them for calling the chargers “Superchargers.”

AMG G 63 and Ram 2500 crew cab.

This has a lot to do with the so-called “training” that policemen receive, which says things like “your most important job is getting home safe every night” and “a police officer’s first duty is to establish control over a situation” (i.e., yell and curse and threaten all the “civilians” into submission.)

The 911 and the new Bronco really should have made the cut.

The best cup of coffee I ever had came out of a vending machine in a rest stop off I-75 at 2:30 AM. The night sky was overcast so you couldn’t see stars, but you could see bugs circling the street lights over the lot.

By “transport mode” they mean “N”, right? Also, do they still have “D” and “R”? I remember reading somewhere that Tesla plans to deprecate “D” and “R” because their AI can tell whether the driver wants to go forward or backward, but I thought that was a joke. However I also thought it was a joke when I read they’re

She also said that Hall was experiencing both physical pain and emotional pain “because he feels he was betrayed by fellow officers.”

1.) She’s kind of pretty.

Struggle? Fear? Despair? Good Lord, Jason, you can’t possibly be more wrong! It’s a high-speed French car. The wipers repeatedly swinging toward each other are obviously supposed to suggest lovers running into each other’s arms at the end of a death-defying dash across Paris. C’était un rendez-vous!

I looked at the headline and said, “Wow, Jalponik done screwed up, it’s not I-375 that was designed to put a big concrete wall between the black side of town and the valuable downtown district, it’s I-175! Can’t these jokers look at a map?” Then I read on and realized you were talking about Detroit, Michigan, not St.

I don’t know about everything - the Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud and that Bugatti on the front page come to mind as exceptions - but I do know from personal experience that a manual transmission makes a full-size pickup truck much more pleasant to drive.

“But I was just thinking of you, dear! This way if I happen to be out driving one of our black Porsche convertibles and you suddenly get the impulse, ‘oh gee I wish I were driving a black Porsche convertible right now!’ bang, you’re all set!”
