What the Hell is wrong with these people? Do they think this is “politics as usual,” to break into the Capitol Building and threaten to lynch the people who are recording the outcome of an election? Do they think it’s “politics as usual” to, when you lose a presidential election by 72 electoral votes and a popular

Hell, even if the two charges were exactly identical, so what?

Oh, OK, I thought you were putting down the 6-speed as non-functional as opposed to the Miata itself as non-functional. Even though Miatas have exclusively been my daily drivers for the last twenty-one years, even I can’t call them “satisfactorily functional for ordinary drivers” with a straight face.

I find it hard to believe that cheap shitty mass-market French-made cars are significantly worse that cheap shitty mass-market American-made cars, and they are definitely superior to cheap shitty mass-market British-made cars because at least they exist.

I bought N95 masks online. The site I bought them from is accumed.com, but there are lots of other vendors if you Google “where to buy n95 masks online”.

Just curious, what do you find dysfunctional about the Miata 6-speed?  Is it just the close gear ratios?

I agree completely. I’ve never used the SiriusXM that came with my used ‘09, I’d prefer 16" wheels, and I’d pay extra to have the front and rear spoilers deleted, but having had two Miatas with open diffs and two with LSDs, I prefer an LSD so much that if I were buying a new one I might be willing to pay the $3500

Ah, but they did fix his hair.

I don’t know, I’m seeing “We did nothing wrong.”

I’m against it. No one should own a pet who is smarter than his owner.

This is shocking! Never before have defense attorneys coached their clients to hypocritically mouth the kinds of things that may get them a shorter sentence.

Wow! That’s the most appealing EV I’ve ever seen. (“Appealing” in the realistic sense. Of course I’d like a $100,000+ EV if you gave it to me; no way would I pay that much.) It’s got everything I want and, if you get the base model, nothing I don’t want. I am definitely considering buying one of these.

Yeah, I’m sure it’s not a horrible enduro like a mid-engine car. I once helped a friend fix his X1/9, sheesh. I also helped another friend change the clutch disc on a SAAB 99, it was awful. (In contrast, changing the clutch disc on a SAAB 96 with the featherweight three-cylinder engine was easier than changing the

In the five decades I’ve been driving I can only think of a couple of flat tires where the can of fix-a-flat wouldn’t have sufficed to get me back on the road. But all the cars and trucks I’ve ever driven, even the sketchiest ones came with a spare tire until I got that Miata, so I just tend to think of a spare tire

I agree, There’s a ton of room under the hood of an NA or NB for even the most inept home mechanic (me) to get to almost everything. If there’s a car in the whole world with more accessible spark plugs, I’d like to see it. The things that will inevitably fall apart as you get past 150,000 miles, like the clutch

I wouldn’t get under my car (e.g., to change the oil) with only a cheap scissors jack but I would change a tire with it. I’ve changed tires dozens of times in the last five decades with the jack with no problem yet. When all you have is a scissors jack, then a spare tire is useful when rotating your tires as you can

Don’t learn calculus just because you need it. Learn calculus because it is beautiful and will make you happy.

You might pay for tire rotation if you had my car (‘09 MX-5), which did not come with a jack and spare tire, only a can of fix-a-flat. Not a problem now, though, because I bought a spare and flat off eBay for about $150, and now my inadequate trunk space is even more inadequate than before.

Ever since I got a “free” tire rotation with an oil change and they switched my directional tires from side to side, which caused them to fail two hundred miles down the road, I’ve done my own tire rotations.

I went to Tallahassee in my ‘09 Miata to visit my sister for Thanksgiving. Since her son, my nephew, lives right down the road from me I took him with me. He broght a small suitcase. The smallest cross-section of this suitcase was about a half-inch wider than the opening in my Miata’s trunk, so he ended up riding 250
