A few good and funny points made in response to this. It’s absolutely true. Without that logic I would’ve never tried. Now I’m on my 4th motor and 12th year with this particular project and I have no regrets. And I have zero junk-yard parts on it at this point, despite the agreement I made with myself when I started

“This motor swap will be cheap. I can use mostly junkyard parts”

Thank you for the laugh. With the fax in the back! And all the flip phones. You’re absolutely right.

This whole conversation just makes me realize it’s time to re-watch the series. For the fourth time..

It’s true. He was pretty dumb. It still may be a little bit of a stretch. You nailed Dr. Melfi, though.

While I’d tend to agree, a Lambo is a stretch. He did reply with a fair paint, though.

Chrissy wasn’t making that kinda money. Neither was Furio.

It’s definitely bait and switch. I just spent the last couple months car shopping and I really lost hope in most dealerships. And a lot of the ads on cars.com are for cars that don’t even exist. They claim “in transit” with no ETA. Or “just sold” but still on there a couple weeks later.

As a motorcyclist who sometimes deals with aggressive people who can actually see me, I can tell you that the issue isn’t right wing media. It’s more people’s perception of us due to the actions of others who may give us a bad name. I’m not saying it’s OK. But I am saying that politicizing everything is getting

I understand the concern, but they’re necessary for other reasons. I just got the new Civic SI and I’m feeling forced to install them even though I don’t smoke or vape. Any precipitation or runoff from the windshield will curve around the A-pillar and hit me directly in the face when the window is even just cracked.

Flemington was such a shame. I live about 15 minutes from the track. I used to watch my uncle race there when I was younger

Okay, that’s pretty neat.

They are especially easy to launch with the launch control. I drove one a couple times and it’s insanely quick for what it is.

My e90 and e53 both did that and I really liked it when parking against a curb. It sucked for any other situation. I could turn it off by switching my mirror adjuster selector to the right (passenger side). I believe it’s the same for all BMW’s with that feature.

I just got a new SI at MSRP.

I think the wheel choice is perfect. I agree on the stretched tires, though.

A 1987 535is was the first BMW I ever drove. That was 2005. The torque and balance are what really got me. It looked a lot like this one, too. It wasn’t fast by any means, but it felt like it had the perfect amount of power and torque for that chassis.

It does not make you unreasonable. And while I understand OP’s frustration, there’s a reason we call them autotragic. We’re not talking about a modern automatic transmission here. These were always worth far less in auto than manual. That doesn’t change just because used prices have been absurd. If this is worth $11k,

Yes. I’ve been e30 obsessed for about 20 years now. I’ve owned several. Slushbox is auto ND.
