Unfortunately there are few effective tests for determining whether or not someone is under the influence of marijuana. Marijuana impairs driving in different ways than alcohol so while field sobriety tests may be somewhat effective, they need to be adapted.

It’s not necessary. As the boss, he’s the one who decides what’s appropriate. Even if all the customers love it, he’s still within his purvue as supervisor to say no. Maybe his boss overrules him, but until then it’s his call.
