Make sure the water to dog ratio is correct

Good to know. I’ve been wondering how good those are. Inoticed them a while back where I saw I could book a few trips to Europe and Asia with airfare included through them cheaper than I would normally even be able to book the airfare on my own. But I have an aversion to getting stuck in a multi-day tour with a group

The day I never need to pull out my credit card will be a good day.

I live in Mérida, the safest city in the safest state in Mexico. American friends refuse to visit me despite the fact that you could be in any school, church, place of business, and public venue in the US and be caught up in a mass shooting event. Those things happen anywhere in the US so there is nowhere in that

I’ve been mugged a few, robbed a few times. Didn’t like it, but not in a million years do I want those criminals dead, have that on my conscience.

I used my Apple Watch to buy a soda for my Dad the other day (he is still rocking an iPhone 4s) and he didn’t believe that I actually BOUGHT it, until I showed him the transaction.

What gets me is the way they frame ‘personal responsibility’ and these consequences. As if they are somehow writs handed out from on high, something ineffable and inevitable, and not, you know, a bloodthirsty gung-ho asshole shooting a kid in the back over a beer.

Honestly, the card reader bit was not particularly jarring to me; it makes such wonderful sense.

I went over seas to France on a business trip a couple years ago. I can confirm what Mr Wittyname is saying about mobile terminals. At every restaurant the waiter would bring a handheld credit card reader to the table for me to use. I learned that over there it’s considered very rude for the merchant to handle your

I went on a business trip to France and I found the same, with the waiters bringing the terminal to me. Apparently in Europe it is considered extremely rude for the salesman/waiter/retailer/whoever to handle your card for you. The card should never leave the customer’s hand. For the waiter to to take the card to the

I tried to get on the Google Pay (Google Wallet + Android Pay)/Samsung Pay bandwagon, but my Credit Union doesn’t support either one. My Credit Union supports Apple Pay, but not Google Pay or Samsung Pay. And of course they don’t have their own payment app either. I did call in to complain, but I think my complaint

Stealing can be wrong and be a crime not punishable by vigilante murder! Why, who’da thunk it.

I will say this about Samsung Pay. The company doesn’t have to “accept Samsung Pay” cc terminals from 20 years ago will work and 99% of everywhere I go in the country accepts it. There’s only 2 places that I go that specifically do not accept mobile pay options and they are working on it. Once they get software

They’re here, didn’t have to wait long. People with any ‘IQ’ don’t steal, you see, because everyone knows that means you forfeit your right to life. /s

That’s much better and pretty cool. If they did that, I would use Apple Pay every time. I hate having to go into my wallet to get my card out.

I agree I use apple pay whenever I can! Although, you can’t really use it at a restaurant as you can’t just waive your phone in front of your waiter and have it scan. Although, in about 2 years when all of our waiters are robots that will be possible I’ve been told. What a time to be alive!!

I hope Samsung Pay-style payments become even more common, so you can use your mobile card almost anywhere, even if the terminal doesn’t have NFC.

I’m in a similar situation. Grew up in a South Asian household where going to college and getting a good career was a big priority – and my parents did a lot to make that happen for me. Throughout my career transitions I’ve told them what my new job pays (and they’ve seen it through various immigration documents we’ve

Same. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve tried to take my parents out to dinner because I can and I want to do something for them. Every time, they fight me for the check. I think it’s partly just a parental thing and partly because I’m the only kid not constantly asking for money so they want to do something for

Haha yeah fair enough, I know some people are more like that. Whatever works!
