I do this too. It’s difficult to sit through the Fox spin, but you do sometimes get a different perspective that’s worthwhile.

I just wish a reporter would grow a pair and call him out on this shit. If he says “I knew this was coming. You all should have listened to me.” Then I want these reporters to keep asking “we’ll why the fuck didn’t you stop it!?” until he gives a goddamn answer that doesn’t involve blaming someone else.

Ages ago back when there were a zillion Repub candidates, he suggested he’d threaten Mexico with war if they didn’t pay for the wall, so yeah, that was nice.

Keep in mind, too, that he also asked three times about the use of nuclear weapons while speaking with a foreign policy expert and refused to discuss an unwillingness to use a nuclear weapon in Europe.

There’s a reason that we don’t have to worry about foreign nations threatening our borders, and a big part of it is keeping strong diplomatic relations with our neighbors and ensuring they don’t fall so far that they become desperate. Pissing off Mexico, or worse actually punishing them, would leave them susceptible…

This is why Trump is a complete failure as a diplomat.

All of that seems like good reasoning for EPN not to have tried this “peacemaker” approach. He should have used the opportunity to embarrass Trump and inflate his profile on the world stage, in my opinion.

I think its important to note: Mexico is the second biggest buyer of American goods (113.5 billion). The first being Canada (133.8 billion).

The way he talks about handling other countries makes me think that he will start WW III in no time and turn the entire world against us.
