Probably not everyone’s definition of cool but - I use colors for occasions (think Holiday colors, sports team colors, and so on) & change them up in the hallway, I have TV-watching colors, colors to match my decor, mood colors, etc...

I use them all the time. ALL THE TIME!!! They are pretty cool. Changing the color or brightness has a big effect on the mood of the room. Dates love to play with them. Changing the lights from across the globe when you’re on vacation is nice. Setting up schedules or triggers makes it fun too. It’s just really nice. I

I just got a starter kit installed yesterday. I futzed around with Hue Camera while watching GoT last night, and it was too distracting - still needs tweaks to add to the film watching experience without realizing it’s happening. I’d like to see how the colors can coordinate with a fractal animator like Electric Sheep

I don’t use the color setting’s as much as I thought I would, but they’re great for setting the mood of something specific (like watching an ocean documentary bathed in blue light, or Deadpool in red light). For the most part I use the natural color tone almost constantly, bright white for when I need to focus that

I find the price daunting (not that i can’t afford it per se, but it’s ... 3 light bulbs for 200 dollars, it seems absurd on some level), so I haven’t jumped in yet, but my vision was always to use the color much more subtly than the pictures show (like, not FULL ON BLUE, but maybe a slight blue hue when watching TV,

The colors can be a fun party trick, but your day-to-day usage will probably be pretty boring, and that’s okay! During the day, I have a lot of my lights set to “Skylight,” which looks exactly like you’d expect. In the evenings, I’ll usually turn on my Edison bulb or candle light themes to help mellow out before bed.

Whatever you think of this child's politics, he does happen to be 100% correct in that the first amendment says he can wear his hat and SCOTUS agrees that he does not lose his rights at the school house door. He's obviously better read, better informed and possibly more intelligent than not only his easily "offended"

Something rarely considered which I wish would be at the front of more people’s minds is that many of these people were enslaving their own kin. Their children, their brothers, sisters, their child’s grandparent. So sick, so sad, I wish we spent more time focusing on slave narratives, their stories, their

Hey. I used to really love the Little Mermaid sequel.

Uh, excuse me, but Aladdin and The King of Thieves was awesome.

Listen, I’m not defending Larry.

Personally, that’s a deal-breaker. If someone can’t handle or detect satire/sarcasm, they’re a waste of time. A sense of humor and intelligence is necessary for communication, let alone a significant other.

Same here. Sometimes I wish my wife enjoyed video games as much as I do, but then I realize that would make us extremely anti-social haha.

Agreed. I have virtually no common interests with my wife, but we have everything in common. Which kinda sounds like a riddle...

My god if I ever complain about my airport ride not carrying a big enough sign I am doomed for a miserable life.

just got an email for the $599 vacation from Aer Lingus. Fly out of NYC though...

my boss went to china for I think 8-9 days for $999 including airfare with some girlfriends and said it was great!

I recently booked a deal like this through Travelocity. It was $1600 roundtrip plane and hotel per person to London for 12 days/11 nights around Christmas and New Years. Breakfast and Free Wifi included right near Victoria station. Plane tickets at that point, I was booking kind of late, were around $1400 roundtrip.

Every year for Christmas, I give my husband socks and underwear. It’s sounds boring and horribly practical, but he wants them! And appreciates me taking the time to buy those items for him because he wouldn’t.

This. And it’s still the best automated translation tool we have.
