But I think it’s clear that the lion’s share of streaming content was not captured by SXM. I think my point is that, with the advantages that you point out (which are really good ones), it’s even more reason that they should have been the leader on this, in my opinion.

SiriusXM reminds me of how Blockbuster dealt with Netflix in that they should have been WAY ahead of the mobile music game. Starting in cars, they should have branched out to let you listen online via browser and then via an app on day one. They would have been a major contender against Amazon Music, Spotify, etc.

I’m very interested in the concept of smart remotes, but when I’ve dabbled with voice control, I can’t really get it to do what I want... For example, if I got this Harmony remote, I’m sure it can launch Netflix for me, but the first screen that comes up is asking me which profile to select, mine or my boyfriends. Can

It was great! But, I just looked and Connecticut has recently changed their policy and, to promote better security, will not print IDs from a central location and mail out. It was great while it lasted I guess.

Lies! There seem to be at least two 7-11s per block lol. I’ve never seen so many of one chain of stores so close together in my life!

Props, I guess, to Connecticut for handling this pretty seamlessly. Knowing full-well that their driver’s license have a 6-year expiration, years ago they started verifying IDs for people renewing their license. Mine has had that little star in the corner since 2015. They were like, “it won’t matter for another 5

I give the same advice to any young professional I supervise (and it is advice I followed myself): Always be looking at other jobs. For one thing, for many of us, our dream job isn’t standard... you might not realize what your dream job is until you see a very specific posting for it somewhere and realize that it’s

Fact. I’m with you on all of that.

Sigh, I miss having a top sheet. But it was conceded in the great duvet cover wars of 2016.

You don’t have to there, or in a hotel. But just because you don’t have to doesn’t mean it isn’t a nice thing to do. Shrug. I mean, nobody’s mopping the floors, but I don’t think it takes much to make sure your trash is in the trash instead of the on the floor, even if they’ll do it for you without charging extra.

Hahaha, I’m reminded of the Simpsons episode where they stayed at Ned’s beach house which was covered in notes for things like “put food in me” on the fridge. That is a real bummer. We’ve been lucky with AirBnB stays and haven’t yet had a crappy one like that... Well, OK, one in Miami Beach was like 97% next to a

I know AirBnBs might be different, but my boyfriend and I pride ourselves on leaving the place tidy when we leave. We were happy to get a review from our last host saying that she could hardly tell anyone had stayed there for a week. It’s not much work to tidy up and, quite frankly, helps make sure we aren’t

You are incorrect in your summation. But I am correct in my realization that I have to stop feeding the troll here and will no longer be responding to this comment thread. Please do not bother replying as your response will be dismissed unread.

If I were looking for the thing that I find surprisingly useful, that I’m really glad I have, and solves more problems than I would have expected... a large backup battery. I got one that can charge my iPhone like 6-7 times and what it really has provided me with is peace of mind. Traveling to an Airbnb or hotel

That’s all well and good, but you are responding to a piece of general feedback with an opinion that is uniquely and specifically yours. Obviously this advice isn’t intended as a good idea for you if you don;’t like Starbucks and don’t think you would find anything they sell to be worth it.

Yay, one of my favorite life-hacks! I’ve done this when coming back from Mexico and was pretty happy with it.

Then spend the money on a banana or water or a bagel.

Those are great, but that doesn’t turn off power to the outlet. I don’t think it would offer any more surge protection than a surge protector.

I presume this article’s advise is directed to those who do not, or for some reason cannot, have such as system. As is my response.

This seems like something I’d like a smart home to be able to do.... disconnect some circuit somewhere either by voice command or automatically if lightning in area notification from a weather service or something.
