But on the other hand, doesn’t it become even more frustrating to see that they decry an increase in taxes for a hypothetical married couple with four children with an in come of $650,000! They lash out against an increase that would see this couple be taxed $196,283 and be left to “struggle” by with only $453,717

I pity a day when inflation makes this joke less funny. Must always update the gif for today’s currency because it’s hilarious.

Yes... kids... definitely not me at work with a stack of paper I snagged from the copy machine.

Owning your own single-family home is not necessarily the natural order of things anyway. (One could argue that multi-generational homes with less privacy and more people are a more “traditional” housing model.)

Call me crazy, but I think that not paying taxes that directly pay for the housing, food, equipment and medical care of US soldiers is more disrespectful than taking a knee in silent protest during the National Anthem...

Honestly, hooking up or chatting up people online while I studied abroad REALLY improved my vocabulary. Seriously. I had to look up lots of terms and learned a lot of slang (because sexual terms and flirting are rarely fun if you aren’t using colloquialisms IMO.)

The most interesting thing about this, for me at least, is in how it makes me realize just how many of my text communications involve photos or GIFs.

Seeing that you can use this to open a URL... I wonder if one could make a neat little shortcut to open up the porn of your choice... not me of course... but some heathen...

I have to believe that somewhere, over at Disney, there’s a room filled with file cabinets, each one filled with files for movie ideas, and that, in this room, there has to be AT LEAST 2-3 cabinets dedicated solely to “plucky dog does something” stories lol.

Somewhere out there, some heartless parent is coming home with a dog for their child and blithely saying “here’s a failure dog for my failure son.”

Ug... so many things I could say. But I’ll just share this... this one incident that still haunts and horrifies me to this very day. About 5-6 years ago I had a boss who was talking to me about two new hires that our department had been approved for. Apparently, HR came back to her approving the position with a

A few years ago I bought a pair of Sperry’s that I knew I was going to want to take on an upcoming trip. Worried about how long it might take to break them in, I did some research and spoke to the person selling me the shoes and they all recommended the same thing: Wear the new shoes in salt water until they are

I like to read so being forced to read a book over the course of weeks, a few chapters per week, was really frustrating. I lost interest because I had to constantly remember, oh yeah, what happened a few weeks ago?

Right? It ruins these books because, instead of a book aimed at adults, they are turned into books aimed at teenagers. Personally, I think I would have LOVED Great Expectations had a I read it on my own as an adult rather than chapter at a time (a forced pacing that caused me to hate much of what I read in high school

They live on a 10-acre hobby farm so I could go on, and on, and on about the cat situation there lol. For one thing, our area had an initiative a few years ago where they would spay/neuter and cat you brought in for free to try and keep the population from exploding so there was a chapter in my parents’ lives where

Literally, one of my proudest accomplishments in life is that my parents have this barn cat they rescued like 10 years ago and I am the only one from my siblings, their in-laws, nieces, etc. that it comes to. Essentially, when everyone else visits it hides under my parents’ bed, never to be seen. But when I’m home

There are two big things I always recommend to college students:

I found that using Uber was very convenient and affordable. It revealed a lot of pressure from me not speaking any Thai and I think I crossed the entire city in rush hour for like $4 with my average trip costing more like $2.

If that is true, what an embarrassment for our national security. Who really thinks that a person or organization would spend tons of time and tons of money planning a terrorist attack but decide to save $200 by getting a one-way ticket instead of round-trip. Oh, and it’s most likely a suicide attack so good thing

I’ve had an Amex for like 6 years and this is the first I’ve heard of them having anything BUT a credit card... Assumed that’s all they were. So, I agree.
