I think eventually the legal precedent will evolve to include a reasonable person standard for contracts like this. Would a reasonable person assume that a waiver for using the community pool would include a section saying that you are signing away 20% of your home equity? Of course not.

My employer does this in the summer and it is wildly popular: We adjust the regular weekly schedule to start 30 minutes earlier Monday-Thursday and shorten lunch by 15 minutes Monday-Thursday and then, as an exchange, the whole place shuts down at noon on Friday.

Guys, guys, guys... I’m sure he did this because of a sincerely held religious belief so it’s totally OK.

Growing up on a farm, our meals very typically did have names... but I don’t think that’s what you’re talking about here...

Guys, guys, guys... don’t worry. This was probably done due to a sincerely held religious belief which means it’s totally OK.

Well that’s kind of my point... We should be focusing on taking care of whatever issues the patient has rather than quantify what issues we assume the patient should have based on social constructs or generalized categories.

One could make the argument that, without a gender marker to create an implicit bias, this child could receive better care. I’m not talking about a bias in which a doctor would treat a female better than a male or vice-versa, but instead the kind of bias where a doctor treats a patient who presents as a male as a male

But... but... but... this doesn’t affect me in any way.... how am I supposed to deal?

Thanks but I am totally not at all worried. For one thing, There’s every only been up to ~$100 so it is literally one of the least expensive portable objects in our apartment (they could walk off with a blender that is about as much). But also we live in a doorman building, on the 12th floor. If they make it to our

Right! I still remember being at my grandma’s house and we would all take a guess on how much was in there and then all help count.

I have this big glass jug in our apartment where we keep spare change and, yes, in 2017 the amount of actually change in there is pretty sparse... but since I hate using cash, I usually end up tossing in any singles or even $5 or $10 bills sometimes. We’ve gotten in the habit of cashing this in each year before we go

I also think that it is worth being intentional about your beach choice. Where I live, there are some very popular beaches in a very nice town but there’s a giant beach the next town over that nobody goes to because they assume that it sucks because the town kinda sucks... But guess what, it’s amazing. It’s safe, it’s

I’m pretty sure the most important part is to photograph in a way that makes it look like the space is HUGE until the person looking at the photos realizes that this piece of furniture was in the other pic and that doorway in the other pic looks a lot closer than it did in the wide-angle other pic, etc.

Honestly, the obligation that people will feel to have to accept to travel all the way out to where I am and spend money on a hotel, and gift, and airfare for what I want to be a simple no-frills affair, is one of the very reasons we haven’t gotten married yet lol.

I find that most things can actually go in the oven right from the freezer without any major problems. And a lot of my dishes are oven and microwave safe anyway so I just pop them in the oven and serve from them directly. The heat is probably the biggest issue but not enough to be worth having a microwave for us. For

We used to have one at work and it impressed us and surprised us all by how quickly and efficiently it heated water!

Honestly, if our condo association fees didn’t include gas for our range, I would definitely get an electronic kettle. Instead, I got a cool looking regular kettle and it just lives on the burner ready for use!

The funny thing is that we’re in this fancy coffee world know where the “best” coffee is just a pour over anyway lol so yeah, I don’t miss a big drip machine at all. We have a little pour over to make a mug at a time (though I guess we could use it to make a pitcher at a time if we really wanted to) and the French

Yeah, maybe that’s not the normal way to do it but that’s how I’ve always made it (after I ditched the toaster) and it works great for me!

If I had a basement with storage I would definitely have an “Island of Misfit Toys” style collection of rarely used- but nice to have once and awhile - kitchen gear for sure! (As I stick on to my paella pan for years without making paella more than a few times lol)
