...um, I didn’t comment on college football. If I did, I’d be crying my eyes out over the drop of attendance at USF Bulls games - we filled the Ray Jay for the 2007 West Virginia game, by God our school’s highest moment in sports history - all because the school’s done a crappy job rebuilding from the Skippy Holtz

The person I replied to joked about Brandon as a location, to which I countered about the real-world arguments I’d been seeing here and on other sports chat sites about the Fairgrounds being PERFECT. Whether or not it’s off the table now, it WAS in discussions once, hence my mention.

even though it would be in the Steinbrenners’ best interests to have enough decent teams in their own division/league to keep fans excited and watching? They can’t play the Red Sox EVERY week...

the uniforms are great now. No more worrying if the team colors were purple, green, blue, yellow, grey, and an off-shade of teal. Just solid dark blue and bright yellow, thankyouverymuch.

those aren’t fans. those are trump voters driving their illegal coal roller trucks up and down I-4.

as the only sober person in Florida, I refuse to be the designated driver for St. Pete.

Long-time Tampa Bay person here. I think I’ve made some of the arguments you’ve made in previous “What the Hell Rays” articles on Deadspin, and I just wanted to comment on this one:

I don’t know any bank giving me 7 percent on my savings. I think I’m gettin 3 percent... MAYBE...

More tears from the “I didn’t think voting for the Cougars Eating Faces Party would lead to cougars eating MY face!” crowd.

so this is how Taco Bell won the franchise wars.

What resolution is there? We are still dealing with a nation that ignores or forgives acts of racism, that voted in a corrupt incompetent White Man as a response to a Black Man serving as President, where kids are running around in #MAGA hats with the smug satisfaction their White Privilege is a license to make others

break out the classic tune “HOT TIME IN THE OLD TOWN TONIGHT”

I would not be surprised if those kids quietly switched their helmets around with their teams’ punters.

Need to speak a lot more about Wolverine, because it leads into the best of the stand-alone trilogy in Logan. Mangold does an incredible job staging visuals and fight scenes - the train fight is one thing, but the “vs. Ninjas in the Snowy Village” was like a painting come to life - but also reinvents Logan into more

if the shutdown keeps going, nobody - including the teams - are gonna be able to get to the Super Bowl. And how many angry Americans is THAT gonna make?

I’m wondering if his stint as a trainee at the prison was an attempt to get some firearm training.

when I was in high school, it was a common story that the girls who “got into trouble” were sent to the county’s central Catholic School for a year or two to “avoid any scandals”. Gods, I worry about that now.

are we gonna find out the evil private school of every work of young adult fiction of the last 50 years is based on this place?

(extremely loud and twenty-minute long curse words that would get me banned off every chat forum on the planet even Reddit)

I’m a Bucs fan. Saying this about a Saints QB we face twice a year is hard enough without getting lynched by my own guys. I won’t say the same about Ryan or Cam, but yeah I will say that about Brees. I dread our Bucs facing him more than any other QB (besides Case Keenum, Christ that guy just carves us up how the hell
