Hung out in Santa Cruz and on the boardwalk on the regular as a teen. My high school was just over the hill, and I’d drive friends over just for corn dogs. (Bless u, teen metabolism.)

THIS IS MY SUBWAY. Also important to note that it’s a 24-hr establishment. I’ve seen much stranger things at this location on the reg.

Free hot dogs, tho...

I had two. Got it immediately when it came out at a Beanie Baby convention (LOL god bless my mom who took 10 yr old me to that shit) and it’s definitely still at my parents’ house. I call bullshit on only 100 existing, and bullshit on the price.

Down with this religion.

You rock.

I own the very early Best Coast 7"s and still like hearing them on occasion. They're pretty emblematic of that mid 00s vibes stoner scene happening in the LA music scene. Then she sold out, kicked out her drummer under weird circumstances and went mainstream. Her new stuff sucks.

I asked a junior I was in jazz band with to my senior prom a week before, since my friends were pressuring me to come along. He said no. It was humiliating. I didn't go to junior prom, either. I'm OK with it, almost 10 years later.

I rarely went to dances, mostly because I was either chubby, awkward and brace-faced (middle school) or awkward, misanthropic and anti-everything (high school). Didn’t go to prom, etc etc. I did, however, attend the Christmas dance in 8th grade.

I have always shopped at AA because their clothes acknowledge that CURVES EXIST. Their high waisted shorts fit like a dream (ok when I wasn't 15lbs overweight like I am now due to being unemployed and lazy) and accommodated my natural hips. So few major brands have jeans or pants that do this. AA never made me feel

I'm 27, and all the dude and I want are our favorite food trucks and beer legs at our wedding. Also not ashamed I'm way into crop tops and flowers, so hope this shit is still around if and when we ever decide to get married. (Because we cohabitate with our two cats and dog and are very much 'fuck the legality of

I was in Kauai in 2013 and Longs was still Longs! Made my California girl heart weep for joy.

Nope nope nope, not just you. It used to be smart and funny, and now it's all meme-type jokes.

The France Gall cover on that album was my jam in college.

But having Holy Thursday AND Good Friday off was SO BOMB. (Source: 13 years of that shit.)

My only explanation is that it could be cultural? I live in Los Angeles, and a lot of nurses here are non-white and/or are immigrants — and those people generally don't tip because it's not common in their culture/country. But then there's those who do tip, but still tip extremely poorly — $3.00 on a $45 bill is

We get a lot of nurses at our restaurant, and they all either don't tip at all, or tip like crap. (ie: Bill is $19.79, leaves a $20.)

Everywhere I've worked pools tips based on a percentage system. Nothing from sales.

I'm a server in California. We all make the minimum wage, nothing higher. Compare that to retail and other entry level hourly jobs I've had in the state that routinely pay ABOVE minimum wage to draw in good workers. My last retail job paid me $13/hr.

I hate that I've given money to this brand, but the Kat Von D liquid eyeliner and lipsticks are so much better than anything else I've tried (which is a lot). The liquid eyeliner is comparable to the best Japanese liquid eyeliners — and if you know eyeliner, you know how on point Japanese eyeliner is.
