I hope I’m wrong but I’m guessing she receives her fair share of slut shaming from the wives and girlfriends (‘why don’t you cover up then?’ ‘Or maybe don’t dress like a stripper or porn star!’ Etc). I doubt all recipients respond this way but I can imagine many would lash out in embarrassment or hurt or shock (at

Analog dick pics! OMG

Someone on here recently suggested I reply to dick pics with dick pics found on the Internet. I’m dying to try this.

It’s almost as if demonizing the people who work with immigrants and not giving them the resources they need to do their jobs can cause bad things to happen.

But it’s impossible to separate my personal response to this development from the fact that I was a Barbie-loving chubby child, and—as Time alludes to—my reaction to being singled out with a gift of the “curvy” Barbie might very well have been absolute devastation.

They look really great, though. I appreciate that they changed the faces instead of just using a different colour of plastic.

Are they making Barbies where she’s not standing on her tip-toes? That would be nice.

It’s like Normcore turned sideways. Normcore exists to broadcast the idea that one is too inherently beautiful to ever look terrible; Lilly Pulitzer exists to broadcast the idea that one is too rich to even bother with knowing what looks good.

Some people like them (I do) but I don’t think anyone is making anyone else wear them, or buy them. I hate round toe shoes, I just think they are hideous. So I don’t buy them, but I don’t go around yelling at how gross other people’s feet look in them.

I remember the whole “Long Island Lolita” thing and people acting like the girl anything other than a victim. I have a friend who is an English professor and teaches the book. He has

Hi! Black person here (insert Nick Jr’s Face dot gif) Here’s my two cents:

See, I read this comment, and it’s really Exhibit A why if you’re privileged you just shouldn’t ever say anything on these topics.

I’m not surprised that many white liberals have been silent about this:

Man, Central Perk was on the gluten-free bandwagon early.

Damn you. I was happily reading from my tablet (which I don’t log into kinja with) and then I read this. You made me get out of bed and go to my computer so I can star your comment. :D

Speaking of aliens, gov’t conspiracies, etc., I once worked, briefly, with a guy whose other job was as David Duchovny’s stand-in on The X-Files. When I first got to the job site, I thought “Huh. That guy looks a lot like David Duchovny.” Turned out he got paid to look like David Duchovny (though not paid quite enough

The entire cast of friends was actually replaced by look-alikes after season 3, when the actors were abducted by the US govt and sent as specimens to populate a secret space colony.

Jennifer Aniston was replaced in Brad Pitt’s love life and everyone in the world has kept noticing for years and years and years.
