Any Pokemon fan who has played in an Ingress Anomaly should be super hyped for this. Imagine sponsored events where hundreds of fans come together to play. I really doubt that this will really be Ingress Skinned. No links no fields, but they may use already existing portals as access points for Pokemon to generate. A,

Does it seem that unlikely? Ingress players reported finding each other pretty easily/regularly, and that fanbase isn’t as big as Pokemons. It will probably depend on location a bit, but I’d wager that if you live in a major city, it probably wouldn’t be hard to find other players—I know I can go just about anywhere

I hope so! I mean, I would kind of hate that, but it would also be great in a way.

I feel like this is just gonna be ingress with a pokemon skin, with fighting and trading. Its not really augmented reality its simply a gps cache game. Its a great idea but I feel like its not gonna live up to the hype in the slightest.

Hmm - well, I think it’d be an advantage in most areas, but a disadvantage in others.

I travel A LOT for my work..typically a different US city every week. Is that an advantage or disadvantage? How would the game play be different for me than most players? I am curious about trying this game out. Cheers!

I just started this a week ago. 3 days in and I was hooked. I then suckered my roommates into playing and we’d do strike team runs on the more heavily enlightened areas around us. It was surprisingly satisfying when we attacked and captured a local park for the resistance. I’m sure we looked weird, staring intently at

Hah - that much is true. It’s hell on your battery. It’s the reason you can almost always tell an Ingress player if you’re playing, get notifications on your phone, and then see someone with their phone connected to a battery pack in their pocket.

~Resonate~ with? I see what you did there! :D

NEW PLAYERS: After selecting your player faction use their Ingress Community Directory to find more help, local players, game ops, and other events.

Interesting...I’ve seen this a number of times on the play store but never really took much notice of it.

What Ishmael said - this game is a game like every other, and in my time playing I’ve met some really super awesome people, and I’ve met some straight terrible people and jerks. Try getting involved with your community - I mean, there’s all types there too, but at least you’re more likely to find people you can

Like all games, this one also has its share of tools and jerks. Pretty much everyone I’ve come across have been pretty cool though.

I have enjoyed the game for a few years - level 13 now. There are definitely good and bad players on both teams. What I really like is learning about lots of interesting places to see while traveling. I had a blast in Baltimore on the waterfront finding portals and places I would normally just never see.

I literally started playing this weekend and I’m on the verge of hitting Level 3. It seems like the Resistance are definitely a minority in my area, but that makes it even more fun. My city is a vacation destination, and our G+ page gets random visitors looking to play pretty frequently. We had a local event here
