Oh dang. Good on Matthew Rosenberg! He’s been blowing up, and rightly so. I loved “We Can Never Go Home” and am super looking forward to “4 Kids Walk Into a Bank.” Met him briefly at C2E2 and he seems like a pretty cool guy.

I missed the show last night & just caught up now. Some random, rambling thoughts:

Can’t say I’m surprised. But I really am torn about this. On one hand, it’ll be nice for them to finish the show the way they want & not be canceled suddenly mid-season. On the other, I want more POI :(

It was renewed for a second season!

Not yet. An assistant had erroneously posted that they had been renewed on Daniel Wu’s Facebook page, but they have since retracted that. Ratings & speculation say that it will likely be renewed, but there hasn’t been any official confirmation.

I admit I guffawed at the DMV workers all being sloths :D

I’ve loved this show from the first episode, but will agree with other commenters that the finale felt kind of lackluster. From episodes one through five, each got progressively better. This episode, on the other hand, felt like a rush to wrap up the season and plant new seeds for the hypothetical season two.

That was Bale, the other colt. His head was the decoy that Sunny tried to pass off for MK’s in the beginning of the episode; so this was just the River King showing Sunny that he didn’t fall for the trick.

I think the first time the abbots were mentioned was last episode when Lydia’s dad/Lance Henriksen mentioned to one of his followers that the abbots needed to track down the latest “dark one” (i.e. MK).
