Counterpoint: Without the ability to unlock everything, players may not find a playstyle that suits them.  It could be the thing that makes someone put down the game.  In addition, if you're not going to let me unlock everything, tell me early on so I can plan for it.  I don't want to find out on hour 133 of a game

And I only wish I low-key knew more about hip-hop than you.

It hurts because it's true.

The difference here is that the devs don’t really have a say about when a game is released and in what state it’s in. If you’re mad at the state of the game, don’t be a shit to the people that assembled it; direct that anger at the people who made the decision to release an unfinished, broken mess - the publisher.

I’ve restarted 3 times now after running into the same experience you are having. I’d recommend it - it’s always sad to lose progress, but so many quality-of-life changes are much better explained by playing through the game from the beginning that it makes it worthwhile.

I would love a game set during the Dark Ages of Destiny lore, when the Iron Lords forged the city and helped refugees get out from the wilderness to the shadow of the Traveler. But you’re right - I stand next to Zavala all the time and stare out over the city and wonder what the hell is going on out there.

I was on that thicc Bowsette shit. Different strokes for different folks.

Same here! My alarm is set for 6:30 on Saturday. Unlike a lot of other commenters, I think this game is going to be fantastic.

I couldn't agree with you more.

I feel like Breath of the Wild also had these types of charming adventure chains.  It's one of the reasons I try not to fast travel in open-world games.

I’ve said it so many times before - but I refuse to pay for a game whose best content is locked behind a multiplayer wall without full matchmaking options. There does not exist a time when all of the people I know that play D2 can sit down to raid. It just isn't realistic.  As soon as they make an LFG function I'm

The only Smash reveal that would matter:

Or like, I dunno,  maybe you shouldn't be reading Kotaku at work?  Work is for... work, right?  Am I in the minority here?

Sweet Kojima shirt, man.

You guys will shit your collective pants when you discover that you can pin frequently used tabs and flush the rest each day.

Yeah I think more likely it would need to be a golf course to get his attention.

Amen

I think he was thinking Rogue Galaxy:

Here's my two cents: instead of nerfing the OP loadout, make something equally lethal for the other classes.  I've always thought Destiny's Crucible TTK was too long anyway.
