The list of comedians who “didn’t fit” and went on to success afterwards is very long. She shined in the pre-taped segments, but I always thought they relied upon the “angry/horny black woman” trope too much in her live parts. Her “naked and afraid” with Peter Dinklage was hilarious for example.

I watched the movie and its not anything of the things they’re saying. Its basically about girls with no guidance trying to navigate their own way, while dodging societal and cultural mores. The advertising for the movie couldn’t have been worse, but if they’re upset about that poster, i’d hate to see what they think

This is a very good, albeit incredibly sad, example of systemic racism.

My FIL bought one a few years back, and while its used infrequently, its more than earned its keep. Pretty much any log thats bigger than 10" diameter is tough to split by hand, and that’s pretty much every tree on his lot.

I haven’t frequented the Art of Manliness website, but am aware of its genre. I suppose to some its a reaction to feminism or gender equality, and being formed by mormons certainly lends credence to that, but I always just saw it as keeping lost skills alive. Many of the skills should be taught to women as well.

An ax can easily split dry small logs, but a maul is better for green, wet, or knotty logs. Best yet is a hydraulic splitter. I’ve done all three, but if we have a lot to split after a wind storm or something, the hydraulic splitter is the tool of choice.

Considering Sean Bean is playing Mr. Wilford, I presume he will die in some complicated or undignified manner at the end of the season.

oh it applies, it just shows they don’t want to actually indict cops.

I would guess its to get information on who’s behind it, rather than just the person doing it. If they announce a high profile arrest, the backer covers their tracks.

Its renowned because it was a “go-anywhere, do-anything” military vehicle, that people started to use as a street vehicle. It was basically a more usable Humvee. They’ve kept the capability, but ignore its roots. I think an off-road version would go a long ways to reminding people how capable they are, while still

This is considered the “base” tier in the US, not sure if it is elsewhere, but at $130k and with all the features, its clearly aimed at influencers rather than anyone who would like to put those lockers to use.

Same. Less weight helps in every direction, horsepower only helps in one.

If they were priced more like the Defender and you could get an actual off-road package, I think they’d sell a million of them. They just ooze presence, and have the capability to back it up. We sadly just get the pavement queens here.

The key is it only weighs 2,900 pounds, so it has a pretty solid power-to-weight ratio.

The Harry’s Garage video, where they take his Espirit Turbo on a road trip turned by opinion around on them.

That’s too bad. I really enjoyed Glow.

How dumb is he to not report his wages from the CFO job? Especially if he’s doing all this other crap, you’d think he’d try to at least “appear” legit.

I just shove everything into gift bags....

I mean its very hypocritical considering her husband and his party’s ranting about the war on christmas, but at the same time I agree. Who cares? If I wanted to go a step farther, it feels a bit sexist to essentially force the first lady to do the decorations. I love celebrating the holiday with my family, but I don’t

Never said it was. My preferred sliced bread, Brownberry sourdough, has zero grams added sugar per the label. But their oatnut has 3 grams apparently.
