Do cats care if they’re called? :P
Do cats care if they’re called? :P
Wait, I don’t get it. If the bond system is needed to protect people, then the example where a guy out on bond murdered somebody is an example of it NOT working, isn’t it?
Being from the midwest, addressing a group of people “guys” is almost an exclusively gender neutral term. And not in the “when it’s a mixed group we default to the male pronoun” sense, but the “a gaggle of girls can still be referred to as ‘guys’” sense.
One co-worker has changed from “boys” to “doggos”. Not a bad substitution in my opinion.
Mostly, it’s awkward to ask because I don’t have a gauge of how “out” said person is comfortable being at work. But if they take the lead and discuss their partner, of if I’ve met the partner before, it’s quite a bit easier to have a casual conversation about them.
That being said, whatever orientation one might be,…
Can’t possibly imagine why you would. :P
Even my dermatologist refers facial moles to a plastic surgeon.
I’d blame the writing more than the acting. The pacing was horrible, the characterization was horrible, and the actors knew it.
Grant Gustin has plenty of acting chops. His performance as scum of the earth Sebastian Smythe in Glee was convincing af.
But no actor can save a character when the writers nail them into a…
Did said teacher or said doctor, like, have menustrating bodies themselves? Or were they just blessed, privileged people, uncomprehending of the suffering of others? XD
I’ve never heard that it cures cancer. Only that it’s highly effective at mitigating the side-effects of chemotherapy like vomiting/nausea, lack of appetite, etc. That was a big argument in favor of medical marijuana because seniors with cancer were illegally baking pot brownies to manage their symptoms.
There’s a lot of diet-related adjustments that can lower your risk of cancer, but once you have cancer, that’s unlikely to save you. It’s like taking calcium supplements after you’ve broken a bone.
That being said, I feel like there’s a lot of therapy that gets a bad rap for quackery, but only because people are…
I’m not sure “suppress” or “conspiracy” are words that I would use to describe it. More that attacks by smaller dogs or dogs with better PR aren’t deemed as newsworthy and are more easily dismissed as individual incidents than as part of a greater pattern in the “dangerous breed” narrative.
Pit bulls are still being…
Thanks. :) Just wanted to learn more about source of the statistics and where they stand on background or agenda. I’m also wary of those statistics just because even if pit bulls make up a disproportionate amount of attacks, it doesn’t mean that a disproportionate amount of pit bulls are aggressive, and it’s still not…
So. I just finished binge watching Gundam Build Fighters and stumble onto this...
Those are certainly some sobering headlines and numbers, but as you say, it’s quite unscientific. Would you mind sharing the source of those charts?
And while at first glance it looks alarming, the truth is that I can quite easily pull just as many headlines asserting how maligned and sweet-natured pit bulls are, and…
-sounds of mind exploding-
I disagree with you there. There are plenty of owners who have no grasp on reality and insist that their growling, frothing dog is a “sweetheart” and “harmless”, but to make a blanket statement like “pit bulls are a risk to the life of a child” is something I really take issue with. They’re not any less family…
Totally agree with you that certain dog breeds were bred to work and do a certain job, so “dog” is not always synonymous with “pet”, and certainly not synonymous with “harmless”, especially around children.
At the same time, I have a really hard time with people who would complete “<insert dangerous breed here>” with…
Well, as far as I understand it, many cats were assholes because they were declawed or feral. Now that people know about how horrible declawing is, I’ve met a bevy of sweet-tempered cats that were just as much of attention-hogging “love me pet me nao” as the labs I know. XD
