No I didn’t mean to call you ignorant. I keep engaging you and I don’t think it helps either of us.

With you on the flowers.
Okay you got me. Ignorant jerk.
There are some scenarios where you could help a very small sheltor. We just donated 12 huge boxes of female condoms we had no use for. I called ahead though to make sure there was a need. If I was to show up there unannounced I could use up there whole dumpster and make their stressful lives that much worse.
Yes. If you were to give us just the gas money you were planning on spending bringing us the stuff. That would help out a lot.
It was the first thing I found. I didn’t bother to dig deeper because I know the numbers are not going to jump that much more. I honestly can’t see a scenario where it goes from 25 cents to say $3.
Not trying to crap on this thread. My main point is that charity like this can often do much more harm than good. I see it almost every day.
Even with Middle East food inflation and an extra 50% for a hard situation we would still be under $1.
10% off all my pay checks for the last 8 years.
I think I responded to somebody else.
25 cents a day.
How much do you think it costs? I will do some quick research but I am certain it is nothing burger.
That was just an example. In that price there is paper products and emergency products to cook it.
Google it?
I am sorry if I sound harsh. I am just very familiar with the damage charity does if not properly thought out.
We have emergency beef stew that costs us 33 cents per person. So we can feed people in America for less than a $1 a day.
edit- just noticed you are not a thrift store. What type of charity do you work for? It's not that simple. You need a MSDS for the bleach or you are screwed. You also need paperwork/receipts from the thrift store blankets.
But if they just sent money and forgot about this other stuff they could of fed much more.
The cost of food is very very low.
