That looks bland and dry as hell. Does it come with sauce or anything?

OMG even the mention of Subway bread is triggering.

It’s strange...we never go out for pasta. We just don’t. We like simple pasta recipes done really right - cacio e peppe is our fav. We don’t eat out a lot either, so if we do we go for fussier or more labor intensive fare than I make at home. OR, we go for crap food to eat in the car. Pasta doesn’t really fit into

Not gonna dog too much on Olive Garden because I think their food is okay. Just okay. If you’re meeting work friends for a luncheon or picky family members who only eat at chain restaurants, you’d leave full and think “Well, that was okay!” But I make Italian food at home and I’m not likely to waste that many calories

Don’t lentils usually take just around 20 minutes? Red and yellow not long at all. The only ones I find challenging are the black dal, which take much longer and I usually soak them in advance.

I guessed dishwasher just from reading the headline.

The Amy’s with tofu is shite! But their black bean chili is really good. I keep a can or two in my pantry for those “I want Mexican-ish food NOW” moments.

That’s what I commented down below.

I wonder why the purple raisins became the standard “raisin” when golden raisins are are FAR superior? I mean, I’m not a huge dried fruit fan, but at least golden raisins have a more complex flavor profile and are useful in a lot more savory preparations and better in sweet foods too.

I’ve eaten this. It’s...um. Okay.

I hate to say that she died in 2019, despite the two of us flying out from FL every ten days for six treatments and staying in Houston for a week in between. That said, those trips were the best times we ever spent together in our adult lives. She tolerated her treatment really well...they just didn’t work. But while

Imma go get some...

We still love Publix. Our historic home is directly across the street from a scaled down “neighborhood” Publix. Damn, it’s so nice having what we call “the world’s biggest pantry” just across the street. In fact, I have to pop over there now because I need some green onions.

NW FL here. I’ve never seen a Safeway. Up here it’s Publix all damn day. We just got an Aldi. Seafood and other speciality markets fill in the rest.

Another company that is very clear with it’s political messaging is Penzey’s. I support them whole heartedly and their spices are ahhmazing!

One of our favorite meals is black bean tostados. I fry up the flour totillas and they are pure gringo bliss. Beans are also often overlooked in Italian cooking. Last night I made cannellini beans and whole wheat orzo with tomatoes, shallots, parm and olive oil. I’m not normally a fan of whole wheat pasta, but when it

I’m betting the Gardein Chicken scallopini patties are a pretty good replacement.

I watched that show.

YES! That’s what I was thinking of, family style polenta poured onto a board. Makes a lot more sense than a butter board!

Hey! I’ll up you with my olive oil board!
