There is a restaurant near my office that serves their hot dogs in a straight up baguette that has had a hot-dog-sized rectangle cut out of it.  It’s pretty dang good!

I had a hot dog on a King’s Hawaiian bun for lunch today and it was perfection.

I was skeptical as to how this could be an “oral” history but I apologize for my skepticism, this was a great read.

Yeah a lot of times my brain just moves faster than my hand and I skip a letter when I’m writing something, including my name.

I think the cost may be the point. This policy is making a lot of money for private prisons:

Aren’t there still a bunch of bullshit laws requiring doctors to lie to patients? How are we setting the precedent that this is infringing on free speech but those laws aren’t?

Same in NC.  We used to be a pretty solidly purple state until they made the districts such that blue votes count for very little.  Which is how we ended up with a democratic governor and one of the most ridiculous state legislatures in the country. :(

That top photo is a truly fantastic wedding picture. If I were them, it would get blown up so big to hang in my house. It’s so happy! They look gorgeous and happy, and there are other people visibly celebrating and smiling but there’s no other entire faces in the picture so it’s really just about them.

uggggh I’ve been looking for a jacket just like that, I want it!  But it probably cost way more than I would pay for a jacket...

Hmm, I wouldn’t risk it personally. It’s a very cute dress and I don’t think anyone would be like “omg I can’t believe she wore that” but you might raise an eyebrow or two.

Of all the reasons this man was garbage, being very bad at talking was high on the list! This is such a terrible idea in so many ways.

What about a sandal with a chunky heel? They seem to be back in style and I’m super into it. There is a style of Toms I have in three colors, and I just saw that Dr. Scholls and Söfft both make similar (but even chunkier) shoes. I’m currently coveting these:
