My doctor tested me for the strains covered by Gardasil and said that if I tested negative for any of them, he’d give me the shot. I was 30; he’d done the same for women in their 40s. It’s not like it doesn’t work; many women already have those strains by the “cutoff” age. My insurance paid for it, too.
