I played this game for the first time recently (and so missed all the game-breaking bugs) and... my feelings were about the same. There are some real, cool gems in the side storylines.

Okay, but it’s not reasonable for the game’s experience to depend on people ignoring what the game itself is telling them and to look for spoilers online. The game keeps shouting at you that there’s a clock ticking and emphasizes that with V periodically collapsing or blacking out.

Good points, although the Qun does get treated with a lot of moral complexity - there is a whole thing about how other marginalized groups, like elves, join the Qun because that’s their opportunity to be treated as equals.
