I LOVE the yip yips. And they are the very first thing I thought of when I saw those jeans. And, Internet stranger hugs to you for your feels.

I am a long time commenter and am still grey on Jezebel’s “new Kinja.” Fuck this system. (I have now ensured I will never get black here. Oh, well.)

Sharing of feelings.

I'm so sorry for your loss. But it seems she had so many adventures with you, what a wonderful life. Much love to you.

All I can think about is how hot that bride must have felt. I was married in October in an off the shoulder dress and I was boiling under that satin and tulle thing.

I can’t understand that quote. I know you pulled it right from the story, but, “What?” No, really, what?

Just big smuggle snuggle skritches babies. JUST BIG SNUGGLE CATS!

My sister lives in NYC. We grew up in MN. I love going to NYC - everyone I've met there (or on the flights to/from) have been wonderful. I don't get the trope.

They loved the skritches! And did I hear them purring!?

Doesn’t surprise me in the least. My husband is a veteran, an current state employee and our dental is SHIT. He needs $10,000 of work. I’ve written to the Army and to one of our (REPUBLICAN — ya know, flag waving idiots?) representatives. No goddamn response.

I was 23(?) when she died and I was devastated. I was home alone and it was early morning breaking news. I watched her wedding on a bootleg HBO feed or something at age 9 or so, at a friend’s house . . . Her dad was an engineer or something and had rigged up a coffee can and wire mesh thing to pull it in. Dammit.

You could have never, ever made me believe this at 19. Never. I can see even if someone tried to educate her, it wouldn’t have worked. I feel for her young self and grieve she was lost too soon, especially for her sons and now her grandchildren, and I think she would be amazing today.

All I can think of is John Goodman playing her on SNL.

Starburst are awesome. Except strawberry.

I dream of the day I make it that last mile or so into MN. WI is a hellhole of red.

I only wish WI was as liberal as MN. Ick.

If the daughter can afford a trip to Europe, she could surely afford housing of her own, instead of sticking the taxpayers with her utility bills. Do you any other person hooked up in their trailer would get a bye like she is? She’s no housing rights protestor, just a leech.

A giant Mountain Dew and two greasy slices of pizza from the local convenience store. Maybe a king size candy bar, too. Oh, youth . . .

I am shocked by that. Shocked, I say!
