Adobe (and anyone else who wanted a copy, really) has had access to Lion builds since the WWDC a few months ago. It's not as if people couldn't work on compatibility before yesterday morning.

It's not "struggling to play" a Flash video. Adobe has claimed that they suspect hardware acceleration is disabled. Since Adobe only recently added hardware acceleration to the OS X version of Flash, video clearly plays without it, just less processor-efficiently.
