I grew up in the southwest, I can remember when Chipotle opened their first store in the state, lines out the door, and for what?? Thousands of mom and pop shops make better burritos, why waste your time and money?

I started making my own tortillas a few months ago. Great for tacos, i haven’t quite mastered burrito sized ones yet, haven’t found a recipe i really like yet either. I substitute lard for Crisco to keep them vegetarian, still pretty good.

I’ve got a decent butternut squash chilli recipe, ou have to cut the skin off and cube it. usually it cooks in the chilli, but now i’m thinking if i roast them first it might give it some depth.

Even ICP canceled their annual Gathering because of COVID, i wouldn’t lump them in with this lot.

I know a guy at work who has 2, one for him, one for his wife. He’s a nice dude, so good for him if it makes him happy.

I remember Jalopnik’s original story on these, i was so excited but not very optimistic it would get built. Glad its progressing, by the time its actually on sale i might be in a position where it makes sense!
