i use it on a table that's almost completely black (not glossy) and it works fine. most lasers have problems with glossy surface though.

i really wish the TV industry would, instead of 3D, just double the framerate. 25Hz is really blurry and crappy for motion, and it's especially obvious if i watch TV after playing some video games.

what? ultraportable laptops existed long before the air. what apple did was make one that was far LESS functional than existing ultraportable laptops (only 2 USB ports? slow processor? pah!) while making it much, much prettier.

shame, but the next best thing is the genesis coupe, i'd say. despite its ugliness, it has relatively low weight, good balance (53/47 IIRC), is affordable, and is much, much roomier.
