My husband and I watched the episode last night and I swear we both gasped aloud reading "He shot me again…"

Those were my favorite scenes!

That's because she's the daughter of the woman in Kramer vs. Kramer. Grace Gummer is Meryl Streep's daughter (and sister to Mamie, who was on The Good Wife). They all look extraordinarily alike, don't they? Grace Gummer even has her mom's laugh. I noticed that in her convenience store scene in Mr Robot. it was kind of

Fresh off the Boat should have been nominated in place of Modern Family, which is years past its sell-by date.

It's criminal!

This last season of Downton Abbey was the weakest. Just because the production values are good doesn't automatically make it the best.

Ugh, Modern Family has not been funny in years. At least only Ty Burrell was nominated for acting, which, I guess if you had to give that show an acting nom, he's probably the least annoying character to nominate.

How is Constance Wu not up for Best Actress in a Comedy? Grrrr.

I honestly thought that was the best-acted scene of the episode. It was a great jolt to see Melisandre unexpectedly doubtful and ashamed of what she'd done, and Davos just ripping her to pieces.

This would have been a fantastic use of Malcolm Tucker's "fuckity-bye."

That would also be poetic. I think that wouldn't satisfy the audience's blood lust but it would be really interesting if Cersei lost absolutely everyone she cared about in her quest for power, right down to the one person in the world she'd have died for herself.

Much more poetic/tragic for Jamie to kill the woman he loves for the sake of the kingdom.

Didn't Cersei also order the murder of Robert's bastard children? Am I misremembering (it's been a few seasons). So…lots of blood on everyone's hands.

I feel like Depp twitches in every role he's in. That can't be true but it feels true.

Oh, I'd agree with you that it was not glorious in any way. It's just that the violence felt more like satiating our (the audience's) need to see Ramsay and Smalljon Umber suffer gruesome deaths because that's what we've been trained to see (no quick dispatch for them, their deaths would have to be long, drawn-out

She got that from her dad. Remember, Ned's thing was always to not shy away from what you had to do.

I understood that reference.

The battle scenes were very reminiscent to me of the battle of Agincourt in Kenneth Branagh's film version of "Henry V" - very bloody, gory and brutal. But Branagh's point in filming the battle that way, rather than emphasizing the heroism and hail Britannia-ness of Olivier's version, was to show the true brutality

That was exactly what I thought. On top of her previous "I can still feel him" comment to Jon, I figured it was coming.

Not sure Dinesh HAS any shit to give Gilfoyle. It's been completely one-sided shit that Dinesh, unfortunately, has largely earned.
