I’m in the UK and my employer gives 4 months at full pay before the statutory maternity pay kicks in. You still accrue vacation time, so I had an additional 2 weeks off at full pay at the start and end of my mat leave. I took 8 months off. I don’t see how American women do it. Six weeks is cruel.
