I have never been able to fuel up anywhere in Oregon in less than 10 minutes. Gas stations always have lines in Portland for some reason.

As crazy as that looks, if you walk up and down the line and talk to owners waiting, I bet not one of them will tell you they regret their purchase. I drove from Portland to Seattle on Thanksgiving and charged in Centralia for about 30 min. It’s not THAT big a deal, it’s something I understand and expect, and I’m…
They need to make Tesla’s supercharger an SAE standard so other companies don’t feel like they are losing face by adopting a competitor’s system.
Alternately, with reduced demand, large widebodies get replaced with medium widebodies, medium widebodies get replaced with narrowbodies (especially with newer craft designed specifically for “long and thin” routes). So, the same number of flights a day, but each flight is lower impact.
Man I would be miserable with the thermostat at 60.
Traveling by plane is contributing to demand. If 1% of people cut back, that has an impact. If 2% cut back, it’s double the impact. Suddenly, there are fewer commercial flights. Airlines won’t run empty planes, in the long run.
Tesla already owns production lines with all the systems you’re claiming they’re avoiding. Your argument fails both the smell test and any application of Occam’s Razor.
Has Tesla ever revealed a vehicle for production and not released it? Even when people said stuff like Model X will never be released with the falcon doors (for better or for worse) it was.
I do like the use of stainless steel for the body, that’s an idea who’s time has come.
Presumably the trucks would be done on new lines created to avoid buying more of those systems. It’s not like they’ll stop making the existing models to make the truck.
except those production lines are at capacity and if they end up selling this in any volume it will likely need it’s own dedicated production lines. Lines that won’t need a paint shop, won’t need nearly as many of the robots to weld pieces together and probably most importantly won’t need as many human hands in the…
Design team had to dial it back from this.
GUUUUUUH I’m so tired of answering this question. The sources are not hard to find if you look.
I prefer to picture the Predator driving it while getting increasingly frustrated because he’s stuck in LA gridlock trying to get to his middle management IT job.
I dunno, based on that recent UN report on climate change, maybe Tesla didn’t go far enough. What I’m saying is make an AMPHIBIOUS version of this truck and take my money!
LOL, okay, cam down.
This article will be my new perfect example of why that phrase is important. OK Boomer needs to be said when people spout off with stupid shit like this. Ooo so sorry that your TV show became irrelevant after you jumped the shark too many times. Why not blame a person trying to improve the planet.
At least it’s in landscape mode.
You know you can be a “car people” and think that building suburbs around car usage, driving a car downtown and removing catalytic converters to gain a few HP are all dumb ideas.
False! Not making babies is the single biggest way to reduce your environmental impact.
