Telus is pretty cool about this. My plan has sort of an "international roaming detection" thingie. When I leave the country, it automatically adds their international roaming feature to my plan, so I get slightly discounted roaming rates. Then it automatically gets removed after the next billing cycle that you haven't

I think Android is pretty much the ultimate alternative to iOS. In PC terms, it's the Windows to Apples OS X. It's simultaneously the every-man's smartphone OS (at least in the US), as well as the go-to OS if you want to tweak the shit out of everything.

As I see it, there are three reasons for the iPod to exist:

In all likelihood, yes. Not necessarily immediately, but soon.

Heh, we'll have to agree to disagree. I've played with a few larger phone. The extra finger space is nice, but the increased size really puts me off. I have skinny fingers anyway :p

Jesus was right, I guess. I'm a bit surprised, but not really underwhelmed. I wanted upgraded guts and iOS5, and that's what I got. I like the size of the 4 anyway. The screen could be a bit bigger (3.7" would be perfect for me), but that's literally the only thing slightly wrong with the 4S for me. iOS5 alone looks

Hm. Interesting. I'd be pretty surprised if the flatter, wider iPhone 5 didn't show up tomorrow. Seems like a rather long wait for a non-major update. But, really, I don't particularly care. I'll be getting whatever new iPhone they announce anyway, be it 4S or 5... my Nokia is feeling ooooold these days.

It is technically illegal. When you buy a game, you buy a license to play that game on whatever platform you bought it for. You don't have ownership of the game itself, so you can't legally play it on whatever you want.

That is an insanely good idea!

Both. I mainly play RPGs, or really story driven games, which are basically interactive books. To me, it's the same experience.

Damn, this looks really good! I don't have a tablet at all yet, but this looks like one of the best alternatives out there, alongside the iPad (IMO, at least). I'll be keeping my eye on this...

Speaking as someone who takes above ground rail based mass transit on a daily basis, I can only fully agree with this rant. I sit in a train car surrounded by people talking on phones, and really, it's fine. Sure, you get the occasional loudmouth who feels the need to share his conversation with the entire car, but

In my experience... no, not really.

I take the local light rail train a lot. Almost daily these days. It being light rail and 95% above ground, there's cellphone service available to all. And, I agree entirely with you. Words are insufficient to convey how little of a shit I give about someone talking on the phone on the train. It's exactly the same as

Well this is encouraging. Maybe my aluminum Macbook will be able to handle it to my satisfaction.

There's no clear-cut answer here. At least for me. Some things really don't warrant a call, so a text is ideal. Some things definitely do warrant a call. Simple as that. And I personally like it when people leave a voicemail. It indicates to me that their call was actually important, and I don't immediately disregard

I'll admit, I know fuck all about Zelda. But, going by his ears... isn't Link an elf or something? 5'5" seems pretty damn tall for an elf (or something).

I appreciate the sentiment and all... but, I'll stick to the PS3 version. The Windows version is enough to bring my apparently out-dated gaming desktop to its knees, so I doubt my less powerful Macbook will fare any better.

Indeed. Very misleading. I was looking at that for a minute wondering "how the hell is a Tsunami even a concern if the focus is under Nagano?". I guess that "A" is just there for the hell of it. Because, yeah, the epicentre was not on land.

I'd say that the ultra book design is probably pretty limited to begin with. So, there probably isn't much room to deviate from what's, as far as I know, the original ultra book... the Macbook Air. But, I do generally agree with the sentiment of the article.
