Agreed. Brent Burns is as exciting a player in the league right now. I would also love to see Joe Thornton and Patty Marleau finally get that cup. They have taken a lot of heat over their careers for not “delivering” in the playoffs. I remember Jeremy Roenick spouting off on NBC that Marleau didn’t have the killer

Yeah, no kidding. I just realized that there are only two Stanley Cups ever among the four remaining teams out west.

They’re a lot of fun to watch. I just don’t want to get my hopes up too much. Playoff hockey really has proven time and time again to not be among the team’s strong points.

Not too big of a deal for me (my team is already enjoying their summer vacation), but it’ll be nice seeing a different team win this year. I’m pulling for the Sharks, but only because that’s the closest thing I have to a local team these days.

How do you line up re: kids on the lawn?

In the STL/CHI series the officials had no problem calling the interference on Andrew Shaw that led to his meltdown in the last 2 minutes of Game 4. I’m not saying that what Shaw did wasn’t a penalty (it was) but the theory that calls don’t and shouldn’t get made at the end of a game is bullshit. The Panthers didn’t

I bet seeing Vladimir Guerrero was great and I can relate being exited for the other team back in the day as well. One of my favorite Cubs games that I ever went to was when Randy Johnson had just been traded to the Astros. Since he wasn’t used to hitting, he ended up throwing his bat at least 4 times that day. I hope

Yeah maybe because the Orioles didn’t have the worst pitching development in all of baseball. Enjoy Scott Feldman, thanks for Fowler also.

Same here. I am trying my best to not get too excited, but they are making it difficult.

I just moved to Seattle a few years ago, so I was a bit baffled by all of the #12 flags, banners, signs, and jerseys around the city. I figured it out recently, though: the "12" refers to 2012, the year the fanbase was established.

Excuse me, Mr. Classless! I bleed light blue, and light green, and white, and gun metal grey, and dark navy blue, and dark green, and sometimes bright neon green, and pink...and the point is...fuck you! We started the 12th Man so much longer before the Aggies, which admittedly have been around since the 1800's...but

Yeah no shit. Cause it’s cold and there is nothing else to do in Green Bay.

That must be the most infuriated she’s been in all her 4 years as a Seahawks fan.

But doesn’t that hurt him at the same time?
