If they could’ve by now, they would have. Wells are cheap to drill (or re-drill) on land compared to the cost of damages this incident will incur.
An energy company employee here: Not an expert, but I know we have similar wells & storage facilities like this where the pressure is well over 1000 PSI. Applying a “plug”

No, but a vehicle behind it far enough might!

Energy company guy here. Not an expert by any means, but I know we have wells & storage facilities where the pressure is well over 1000psi. My guess is this is a similar facility that would blow that material clean out instantly, otherwise they would’ve done something like you described.

Can’t wait to the dash cam video surfaces.

I have never thought to myself “gee, I would like to purchase a car like this” after driving ANY rental (SilverCar and similar outlyers aside).
Many times I was at first excited to be the[a] first driver of a rental (cars with <100 miles on the clock), only to be extremely let down by the very-underpowered drivetrain,

I’ll take your word for it—my browser just froze.

I didn’t see the speedo go over 35 for the entire review :(

You’re right, but I happily pay the premium to avoid the less-than-savory ‘hoods.

Growing up in NOLA, I always heard the folklore about the po-boy: that they were cheap enough back then so poor boys could afford them. It makes more sense to know they were giving them away to the unpaid streetcar conductors. I always thought it was funny/ironic that a poor person couldn’t afford a decent po-boy (for

This looks like a Micro-USB carve-out. I’d like to hope this is a fake rendering and that Samsung would actually use the new USB type-C plug.

My LS430 has this too. I hate it, but:

I was going to say “anything plastic attached to the drivetrain,” but a more specific thing that has annoyed me is lug bolts on [mostly German] cars.

This makes remounting the wheel a 2 person job if you’re not strong enough. I’m sure there’s an engineering reason or two for this that makes sense, but I’ve never heard

Of course someone would have the last laugh.

If I worked that high up, I’d already have a parachute.

Annonemp - First, I want to reiterate that I wasn’t avoiding your question.

Oh, hi there!

One of the great things about android (as this article covers) is customization. You can change the app drawer color/style/transitions to tons of other combinations :) Enjoy!

Turbine outhouse. On the bright side, there’s no better vehicle to shit yourself in.

“The 6D system uses two EPS liners, which are connected by 54 elastomeric isolation dampers, which look like little suction cups. The idea being that, during an impact where the skull experiences rotational acceleration, the helmets has some flex and allows for some movement to help slow those rotational forces down.”
