The next-gen Intel HDMI PC will run off power from a new-spec HDMI port (so we’re told). My guess is this one will still require the secondary micro-USB plug that similar dongles require.

I want to know what the owner is doing with this guy.

You can get a smaller, brighter, higher-resolution pico-projector for less $, without a contract, that can hook up wire/wirelessly to any Apple/Android/Windows device.

I commend the great Americans who ride public transit to and from work everyday, but my experiences along with the thousands of stories like these are why it would take $20/gallon gas for me to ride it, and if that’s the case, America’s got bigger problems.

I believe there is an actor/character from JP1, albeit not a main character: BD Wong

Obligatory.

I’ve burned out 2 Dremels. While this is a great starter kit, I would recommend a better rotary tool if you do a lot of work like this.

Bump. I was so excited to hear about the XB1 at first—that it would be a console, disc player, cablebox, HTPC all-in-one. Man was I disappointed. The only thing the XB1 has over my 360 is better graphics performance (ok, not the only thing, but from my PoV).

I love WMC with my HD Homerun Prime, but my 5-year plan now

Getting financing for a car older than ~8 years can be difficult and more costly, so I’d suggest taking that into consideration.

It may not be easy/ideal, but I would suggest buying a house first, waiting a year or two, then financing a vehicle (if you can’t pay cash).

This guy’s fault.

Wow we just did the hobbiton tour last month! Gorgeous day and amazing set down to the last detail. I took hundreds of shots with my D7100 but this is one of my faves.

Pretty much pointless when we (the US) catches up with the rest of the world next year and requires credit cards to be read via SIM chips. Not 100% sure, but I believe magnetic strips will be phased out.

Obligatory demotivator.

Same here— but my educated guess is we’re ok :)

On a lighter note, Jim Gaffigan nailed this.

Yes, Glock. Go to :45 in. It’s a Glock receiver that takes Glock mags. They may call it their “FMG-9” but “a rose by any other name...” :)

Beat me by a minute!

Wow—exactly like the glock folding gun:

If Californians wanted to build a water pipe line from the gulf coast to CA, they could just as easily as the oil companies do. :) (Oil/gas pipe line guy here).

This was done on “The League” a few years ago. Pretty brilliant, and hilarious considering it was done by the Jewish character.
