This show is wearing a little thin. I want Don to rise up and crush his enemies, not abide snarky lunch comments and connect with his kids. Peggy is boring. Lou is a barely sentient paperweight. Cooper is waiting to side with whichever group of partners will eventually win, and Rodger's whole crew is in exile. This

Maybe Joan's lack of respect centers less around her tits and more around the fact that she fucked a guy for money at the behest of some other guys.

*Farts*…..whatever.

… did you just equate a Gulag to some high school kids running sprints in the rain? Because, if so, you should probably read up on Gulags a bit.

The eyepatch continuing into this season was the best… Ken might be in the process of becoming Job.

This weekend I had to think about the last time I saw somebody… It was in a local bar, and I was worried that this person might report to our boss that he'd seen me smoking… because you could still smoke in bars then. It seemed like rather a long time ago.

Why isn't Stan in Cali? I still think they should have sent him out there.

After the first two lines I thought it might have been Freddy recruiting Don into his little club.

Either of the reviewers could sort this out… that movie, with the bit about the Egg Farm, as that the beginning of The Egg and I movie? I remember the book alright but can't remember much of the movie…

It's odd because I was just reading today how Lennon and his pals mistakenly attributed a Whiter Shade of Pale to Steve Winwood

My man! thanks.

And although I like to consider myself well versed in 1960s music… Don's intro song was new to me… I will be chasing it on itunes.

I will reserve comment on this season until I wrap my head around some characters….although I seriously hope Roger Sterling isn't getting his Frank Underwood on.

They can't tell the GM from the coach but they sure can use the phrase "helmet to helmet" in the first goddamn paragraph… but they don't have an anti-football agenda or anything.

yup

Well, I want to know what happens, but I don't care how he crafts it.

I did read the first book…. they're not.

well, it's Todd, so…

I read Hugo and Tolstoy in college. I had to… 1000+ pages is an awful lot to ask. I decided long ago that George R. R. Martin isn't so fine a stylist that I have to actually read his works. Basically, I've learned the plot from wikis and the internet at at large… and I don't think I've lost much. Does that count?

I'd be very happy with more Hornblower.
