The engine is a stroker that doesn’t like to rev. The torque peak of the 2.5L Skyactiv is about 800-1,000 rpm lower than the comparable Honda and Toyota engines. It’s great for commuting but not entirely enjoyable beyond about 4,000rpm.

Agreed. I bought a ‘15 Mazda6 partly because the Accord Sport only came in 2 fucking colors and limited options! Stop assuming that people who want manuals are buying them because they are trying to be “thrifty”. It isn’t 1980; we’re buying a manual because we want the experience of driving a stick shift, not…
I love how people are bashing the reliability of this engine.. The 4g63 engine, in both naturally aspirated or with a blower, are damn near bullet proof. Crankwalk was NOT an issue with this this engine.
I owned 2 1st Generation DSMs. One a 1990 Eagle Talon TSi.
They exist because they sell. I bought mine and immediately put snow tires on it to hoon the unplowed parking lots during winter storms.
Focus ST is $98 per horsepower ($24k/252) with usable cargo space (44.8 ft w seats down), fun driving (manual only) and it is economical (23-35mpg). Name a car that does those things better for less?
Because the RS is too expensive and too extreme for a lot of people and the FiST is too small. The FoST is pretty good daily driver compromise between the Fiesta and the RS.
I have to argue against you on that, produce is quite affordable in the US. It’s not the tastiest and I definitely don’t do it myself, but it is healthy and cheap.
I’d rather my city just buy what’s cheapest instead of trying to make an activist purchase on my dime.
The last time the United States was attacked was 1941. We should just get rid of the entire Department of Defense.
The USA hasn’t scored an air-to-air kill since the Iraqi no fly zones; better scrap all the fighter jets.
Do you realize the last time a nuclear weapon was used? We should probably get rid of our nuclear deterrent.
Don’t compare this to a zipper merge. This is NOT a zipper merge. At all.
This is your reminder that the Obama administration itself thought the target was probably too high and did it anyway. Presumably because any negative fallout would be another administration’s problem.
Not sure if serious...?
Correct. And it isn’t limited to white Republicans. We’re constantly bombarded online with pseudo-science diets and remedies from low-education “naturalists”.
Why would I want actual information about an upcoming vehicle I might be interested in when I can have all of this snark!
These people are Canadian, so hopefully they didn’t vote for any US president.
In other news, Jezebel once again makes the peculiar mistake that religion is a synonym for Christianity.
