Blackberry styled keyboards allowed me to type one handed.

This is true. Blackberry Blend is the real deal.

People make fun of it, but BlackBerry devices do this on their own without a 3rd party.

Wow, this chick really hates BB. I wonder at some point did BB snub gizmodo? Anyway, yes you can run most apps from Android on BB10 - so not really a big deal. I had Netflix on my BB but I have to say I deleted it since only a complete retard watches movies on a phone - and that is any kind of phone. I like my BB

thats not what he said. he asked that if a company like netflix pressures for neutrality from ISPs why does it not remain neutral in the app space and allow its app to work on BlackBerry as well instead of singeling them out (case in point, the Netflix Android app works flawlessly on a BlackBerry10 device but with

Because they are the phone that the world deserves, but not the one it needs right now. App happy Apple fan-boys on this site are just waiting for a leaked pic of the new iPhone so they have something to wank to. Has anyone commenting on this site tried BB10? The Passport? Even the z30? Broaden your horizons a little.

Keeping BBM solely for BlackBerry's was done by Balsillie. He refused to open it up to other OS's.

The BlackBerry hate on Gizmodo is strong!

3 years hearing that. They are still here and probably running the systems in your car.

Yeah it was an extremely weird business and design decision. Some very powerful people must have had a say in that.

Fools. The UI of Windows 7 was perfect.

Perhaps not everyone wants to get to their apps by searching for them every time.

I'm still a supporter of BB and now that I have one myself, I'm as big of a supporter as ever.

Also, "Windows 8" having one UI experience for completely different devices isn't the future at all. If it is, well... we are choosing a damn dumb future. Desktop and mobile have different purposes and though they can and should share the same interface language they should be organized in a way that serves its users

The "start button" might seem silly to some but it was a demonstration of how Microsoft was either completely out of touch with its userbase or that it was too arrogant to care about its userbase. Neither situation is good.

I worked with Microsoft on Windows 8. One feature they hid from users (consciously, I may add), and one we begged them to talk about, was that you could go back to the Windows 7 interface if you so chose. They were so intent on forcing their vision of a UI on their customers that they ended up creating a dead fish

All well and good for devices bought with Windows, but what about custom built PCs? Suppose I upgrade my mobo and decided to do a clean install?

That is a great, well-ballanced review. (NOT)

I have a BlackBerry Z30 that I have used for over a year without any issues. In fact, I have to use my wife's iPhone on a regular basis (to do stuff for her) and I still choose to use my Z30. I could have switched a long time ago to another platform if I felt that it was a better choice. While BB10 is not for

Frankly, I'm a BlackBerry Owner and want a Passport.
