What's funny is that even though this conversation is all a joke, it looks exactly like something that could easily appear on a religious debate comment thread of another website.

This summer is starting out surprisingly dry, but there have been a heck of a lot of terrific blockbusters this year. Edge of Tomorrow, The Lego Movie, and X-Men: Days of Future Past all hugely exceeded expectations, and The Winter Soldier is easily the best MCU film since Iron Man. I don't want to speak too soon, but…
I can't even tell what they're arguing about. Like, I have a guess, but it seems so pointless and unimportant, I feel as though I must be missing something.
Jeez, I didn't even know The A.V. Club existed in 2000.
Is this going to be the Odyssey in Space movie Warner Bros. announced last year? Wasn't that supposed to become a thing?
I can't be the only one who was disappointed that Michael never got the chance to (safely) commit "suicide" in front of his coworkers.
I'M HOOKED ON A FEELING! *weird gaspy noise in soundtrack, trailer ends*
I have never watched an episode of Community in my life, yet this news still brightens my day.
And just like that, Todd was gone, and the immortal last word he ever wrote on The A.V. Club was "acuity". (Well, unless you count "VanDerWerff" as a word.)
When I went to see Maleficent, all the trailers were for kids' movies, and one for Transformers. Likewise, when I saw Transformers, all the trailers were for kids' movies like Planes 2 and Earth to Echo. No joke.
Can we take a moment to appreciate the fact that Todd has, in a way, been replaced by Sean O'Neal?
Here's Ignatiy Vishnevetsky's review (which everybody in the comments apparently hated) of Oblivion on RogerEbert.com: http://www.rogerebert.com/r…
Sadly, most of the Internet does seem to have figured out one plot detail regarding the identity of one of the movie's characters. I won't spoil it here; let's just call her Jessica C. No, that's too obvious… let's say J. Chastain.
I generally like Great Job, Internet!, but wow this is a piece of crap.
How did Alison Bridges get stuck doing this job? It doesn't seem like the kind of feature only one person would specialize in.
"As a single episode of television divorced from all context, 'Camille' probably works better [than 'Ozymandias']." Well, that may have something to do with the fact that "Camille" is a pilot episode and therefore has no context to speak of.
Erik Adams, the almost-but-not-quite-circular nature of your glasses intrigues me.
Agreed; I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be my favorite movie of the summer.
I know we all complained about the snark on that other Barsanti Newswire, but here, I think it fits just fine.
This man's arguments for hating Breaking Bad, while disagreeable, are still a heck of a lot better than the usual arguments I hear—"It's boring"
