Instead it was a mix of “Wow! They had the guts to actually do it!” and “OK, so, next movie is the story of how these deaths are reversed.”

Was I the only one who thought this was the most violent Marvel film so far? I perceived it as much more gratuitous, and not just by the sheer number of people who died, but more because of how they died.

Yeah, that was my take, and the Russos just verified it.

I had to point out to him that, yeah, those of us who have read the comics or even follow a lot of this stuff online know that a new Black Panther and GotG movie are on the way, but there are plenty of folks who don’t follow this stuff, and they are genuinely worried that T’Challa ain’t coming back.

I think its because the ‘Iron Baby’ timeline that Tony was dreaming about in the beginning is the same timeline the Guardians we saw in GOTG 1 and 2 were in.

Slain.

What’s worse? Like 90% of them were ALREADY wiped out by Hela and company, so there’s what like 5% (of their very recent population) left after Thanos got through with them? Does it need to be 50% for the universe, but only 2.5% of the Asgardians Thanos?

It’s like they were applying to be in the Wikipedia entry for ‘Adorkable’ or something. Why do I feel that in the ovaries I’ve never had?

Right now, a lot of people are defining ‘dead’ differently. The internet is abuzz with fellow nerds coming up with various Multiverse angles and Time Stone shenanigans explaining how OBVIOUSLY everyone who turned to smoke is coming back.

That was just genius, I love this show on so many levels.

Can’t all of the witch’s visions be timey wimey Chekov’s past tense foreshadowing?

I hope it’s a little twistier. I’m thinking ...

The Title ...

I think y’all are forgetting the most important scene in the movie. It’s like... the Chekoviest gun ever.

I think that bit was really important for a reason.

Just another thing for Batman to be emo about.

That actually happened at work.

Now playing

I LOVED the way they used the Mjolnir to Stormbreaker transition to parallel Thor’s troubled romantic relationship with Loki and his eventual exploration of love with the Hulk.

That line about him always being there to lift his hammer? Tears, real tears.

Maybe they just have a different visual sense?
